This was literally plug n play. I removed the hard drive from my old laptop. plugged it into this and to my new laptop. and retrieved old files I thought were lost to me. The process took less than 10 min(not including file transfer time). I saved me at least $100.

Small but Mighty

I love the small size it's easy to put in a drawer doesn't take up much space. It saves me from having to open the case to test a drive. When I use it just does the job it was meant to do.

Restored rare family photos from my dinosaur PC!

I thought my precious family photos were lost forever when I was no longer able to boot my old PC. Someone at Best Buy recommended this as a solution and after tinkering with my old PC for a bit, I managed to unhouse the drive and tranfer my photos to my new computer. BIG WIN!

Good adapter

Had an older HDD and was able to resume drive usage on newer equipment. The adapter did.nor help retrieve former data from drive but maybe others have more success.
