Read an old drive the easy way!

I am running Windows 11 and have a solid state drive removed from a failing computer. I connected the drive to the cable and plugged it into one of my USB C ports. It connected immediately and I can now access the data for transfer to another drive as needed. The use of a USB C connection means that copying is fast and efficient.

Bought this adapter and used it to quickly back up 500 GB of files to an external SSD drive before installing internally in my son's desktop. The data copy was fast and seamless, and speeds were great with the USB-C port/connection compared to the standard USB-A adapters that I was using previously.

This was the perfect solution! Very simple plug and play connection that makes your old SSDs act like USB sticks so you can recover files easily. I’ve finally been able to destroy and disposable and drives that were just taking up drawer space.
