We all know that batteries for the controllers are an issue and this solves it. It comes with two so you can charge one while using the other. Its very convenient that it plugs right into the console itself. Overall, no issues with it and its very simple.

The logic of charging removeable battery packs (ONE per controller only) rather than docking a controller is brilliant. I bought two of these to cycle the four (4) total battery packs among 3 or 4 controllers for near uninterrupted play. So very worth the price. Runs on the USB bus power, so zero cable and a 5-second, non-permanent installation.
