The main points. It is slick and slim and thus is easy to store or carry around; has several laptop port heads to choose in case you have one or more computers in your house; the instructions are usually clear enough when checking for the right port provided you know your laptops model (such as Pavilion dv6), if the head is not included, it may have to be ordered online from the website (no additional cost); this one has a convenient 2.1A USB output port which charges my phone, Ipod, or other USB device at the same time (does not seem to hurt the any device either). As a potential travel charger, secondary charger, or replacement charger this seems a good option even for the price. My original 90W charger for my HP Pavilion laptop worked well for several years. Eventually, either through a power surge or it overheating (I kept it tucked on the side of my bed to keep it in one place and out of the way), it shorted and stopped working. As there was no HP store nearby and a replacement charger going to take some time to arrive via Amazon or the HP website, I called best buy to inquire about replacement chargers and they said they only had universal ones. That suited me just fine. Although I am not one to give in too much to instant gratification, I still had need to have a new charger. I toyed over few chargers including an HP 90W smartcharger. Eventually, once I learned that Insignia is Best Buy's store brand, I knew that any major issues (short of neglect, theft, or power surges [it is what it is]) would be easier to deal with either during the receipt policy or 1-year limited warranty. I've read negative reviews about it but I have had an Insignia 21" LCD brand TV for several years. Although I would like a bigger one, I have had little problems with it for what it does (watch TV & play video games). I do not expect it to be the wonders of electronics. I digress. I narrowed it down to this (Model: NS-PWLC595; SKU: 5155139) one or the same but without a USB port (NS-PWLC593; SKU: 5201008) primarily because they are both slim. I chose the former ultimately for the convenience if ever I needed the USB charger. At the time, it was $69.99 vs $65.99, a $4.00 no brainer. Seemed pricey but for the size, abilities, and my current need, it was not a major issue. Slim enough size; charges most laptops; has a USB port; I also take better care of it.

Light weight, charges fast and doesn't get too hot.

works as it should nice to have all the adapters although I have only used 2 of them. needed to buy because new DEll charger was defective and customer service was totally not up to standard I was expecting , a little large but for all the different devices I guess . would buy this brand again. good luck

Bought as a replacement for the power supply for my Acer Aspire 6930. This power supply is smaller than the original, and the tip is sturdy and angled so that not much stress is placed on the cord. Additionally, this power supply has a built-in USB charging port that is very handy.

My laptop power adapter died and I needed an immediate replacement. Shopped Best Buy online and they had just what I needed at a reasonable price. Added bonus of USP charging outlet on the power adapter

This cord is long and fits any computer because of the adapter.

My old laptop power adapter stopped working so I went to BB to get a new one. I was going to buy the genuine HP version but the longer cord and available USB port on the power brick convinced me to buy this one. I only wish that there were a way to clip the extra adapter tips to the power brick, as I have several laptops and it's inconvenient to go try and find the different tips if I want to switch computers.

I use this Power Adapter on my new HP laptop. I use the laptop for long periods of time at two different locations and do not want to carry the power cord with me. This adapter works fine and has a larger capacity than the OEM one that came with the laptop. Also it has different plug tips so I can use it on other products.

This charger is not as thin as the packaging makes it seem. Also if you intend to use it for travel, tape the adapter end on the cord as I have lost one tip and was fortunate that another one fit.

I had purchased a similar item for my laptop not so long ago. This item is a must have if your looking for a new replacement power adapter for your laptop. It's very portable for travel with its slim build and the plug adapter design to not be bent not like the original one that came with my laptop.

This charger works great and is perfect if you have multiple laptops in your family. I could not find an ASUS charger anywhere until this product so it saved me when my charger broke. My family also was able to use this charger on a HP and Toshiba laptops they own. Great product and great versatility!

As I have become frustrated with losing chargers in my home I decided that it would be best to invest in this due to the fact we have so many tablets , laptops and friends who always need one!

My son's laptop power cord died, and we replaced it with this product. It must work well since we haven't seen him leave his room in weeks.

It did what i need it to do nothing special about this product. If you like the price buy it...if find something else that better probably a better choice.

This power brick works with my Asus laptop even though the Insignia site has not been updated to include my model. The USB charging port is a worthwhile bonus, saves plugging in yet another cord.
