This is a must if you use a light stand and want versatility with position or you use an umbrella as a modifier. This is very well made compared to other brackets. One thing to be careful of is the shoe mount is metal which could damage the flash. The shoe mount does not detach. I put a "Zoom HS-1 Hot Shoe Mount" in between the shoe mount and my speedlight. It easily will connect to the speedlight stand. Or if that's too bulky the "Frio V2 Locking Coldshoe" works perfect making this an excellent combo for a speedlight set up.

This piece I bought for my husband to connect between his umbrella and his tripod, and him being a photographer, it is very useful for his work, when he is taking pictures.

Just clean, simple and easy to use. Light weight and doesn't take up too much room.

This item does the job. It holds the umbrellas as well as an LED light or other cold shoe mounted item. But the lock-in tilt angles are a bit large, not allowing for enough fine tuning at close range. The knobs are a bit plastic-y feeling as well. But the big complaint is about the screw that tightens the cold shoe bracket -- it's way too short, it comes out too easily, falling on the floor in three pieces. You have to be extremely careful when mounting a cold shoe item. And it happens at about the width needed to slide anything into the mount; it doesn't take over-loosening to make it happen. I'll be going to the hardware store to find replacements for these screws.

The umbrella bracket attaches easily to the light stand, and accepts the flash gun securely. The umbrella slots into place and is easily adjusted.

This bracket for my flash and umbrella much better than another one I purchased from Amazon so I sent that one back and kept this one. I like it.

You can do a lot with this thing, beyond its narrowly defined purpose...sturdily built, too.

Bought these to complete a portable portrait studio I’ve been working on — they’re fantastic! As with all photo lighting equipment, always be sure that you’ve tightened all of the pieces appropriately so the flash doesn’t fall out (I saw someone mention this in another review). When used properly, these are game-changers for shooting quality images on location with speedlights.

Saw this in the store and bought it for an extra umbrella setup. It comes with a stud that can mount to a standard tripod screw, I don't have to buy a new tripod stand. I can also use it on a reflector boom to provide high backlight. It appears to be metal, the set screws are sturdy. It should survive frequent setups. I am impressed by the quality given the reasonable price.

This bracket will secure your flash and umbrella but I wish the knobs tightened around my stand even more. Also, keep in mind that the top screw has no catch, so if you unscrew too far the screw and spring will fall out. That spring is necessary to secure the flash on the mount.

I do both photography and video, using flash and LED lights. These are great for cold shoe mount of my flash with a wireless trigger and umbrella. I also use them to mount LED lights for video shoots. They work great!

Very heavy-duty item, with the possible exception of the plastic on the knobs. Should be fine with reasonable care when tightening, however. I shopped around and considered several other brands and styles, but felt this was the winner hands down (especially considering I was able to find them in-stock locally at a nearby Best Buy), so I bought two. Overall, build-quality seems great, very simple and straightforward to use and is an exceptional value overall.

I was a bit hesitant at first considering the price. I expected it to be subpar compared to the ones from Manfrotto but completely surprised. The item is well built. Very durable and easily manipulated without much effort. However knock on wood it hasn't fell off. Only thing is some speedlites will not slide fully, you are able to tighten and hold the Speedlite. At times I get nervous about my $500 speed light being on it.

Love that this has two thread options, and it’s pretty solid, no complaints yet. We’ll see how it does when I upgrade to a bigger umbrella though.

This is my favorite umbrella bracket. Better than most others on the market. Easy to use. A little difficult to get the adapter out, but great otherwise

This flash hotshoe bracket is a must have if your photography needs require off shoe flash Photography. Product made very well, and works as described.

The presentation and packaging is great and the quality is excellent. The included instructions were very helpful, considering I had never used one before.

Easy to use for flash setup. Attach it to a light stand, add an umbrella if wanted, and attach your flash. Very simple.

It works flawlessly. Assuming you know how to use an umbrella for shooting. Its perfect and super compact. I shoot on Canon 6D Mark ii full Fram camera for events and things in the dark. Also use this for portraits in studio or even outdoor settings. I will probably buy a second one for my second flash and stand. Umbrellas are not super sturdy though. Keep that in mind and take good care of them. The advantage is they take up NO space for portable on the go photography and having great light.
