The USB itself has worked great with my MacBook. It's small enough to fit in the same pocket as other cables. Very convenient and affordable.

Not everything is USB-C yet, and if you have legacy devices, it's needed. It keeps all your current items compatible. Price was great.

I needed to transfer my old phone data (calls, contacts, etc.) to my new phone ASAP. I couldn't wait for the smaller USB C-to-A connector to be delivered. This Insignia USB C-to-A was available and in stock at my local store. It worked perfectly! It was fast and easy to connect. The fact that the dongle is larger makes it less likely to be lost or misplaced. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I am impressed with Insignia at the moment. In this case, this is a USB-C to A adapter needed for newer devices with Thunderbolt 3/USB-C connections (in particular, in my case, the newest MacBook Pros). I'm wary of third party peripherals usually. Yes, Apple adapters and such seem overpriced (and may be) but I have no doubt they will work fully and safely. But because of the price I decided to try this one for those times I may be on the go or don't have a use to connect a complete home docking system to my Mac. Understand, I come from using an almost decade old Mac with USB 2 ports but this simple adapter made file sharing laughably fast. I've not experimented with too large files but I have seen gigabytes of data be transferred in seconds, an amazing feat from what I was used to. I don't know if the complete bandwidth is being utilized but my experience so far is that it's using near enough for my satisfaction. Even if you have a dock at home, even a travel dock/hub, I recommend having a small adapter like this as well. Needs no power, it's a direct line connection and easily utilized. Until USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 becomes ubiquitous these adapters will be necessary. Don't be afraid to go with Insignia. The only caveat I will mention is I'm not sure about such adapters when syncing information. Even Apple has adapters they don't suggest for data syncing (such as syncing your iPhone with your Mac). Do a little research to make sure such devices are heavy duty enough for that.

I bought this for my Galaxy Tab 2019 to use a programming cable for my car. It worked fine without any issues. I flashed my car and put a better tune, which takes about 40 minutes. The cable held up and had no issues. I have also used it on my laptop to create an additional USB port and have had no issues.

works perfectly with my Microsoft surface go tablet and my samsung S21+. I have a very bulky case so the other adapters would constantly slip out when I'm using them but this one is slim and fits into the small case openings perfectly. I have had this for 2 years and it still works perfectly

I needed an adapter to connect my iMac laptop to my flash drives and external hard drives. And this works great. And was far less cost than other brands. This was the 2nd one I bought so I can have one for each port if needed.

I have an Asus ZenPad Z8 which has a Type C USB port and uses the Android operating system. Type C is a new size of USB connection, touted as the new standard, but until I found this, adapters were not readily available. With a SD card reader, I can now view pictures from my trail camera in the field. Works great. The short dongle also helps since I have a protective case.

I purchased this to be used with my galaxy note 8 to transfer files between a thumb drive and the phone. It also works with my canon 70D so I can transfer the photos over from the camera to my phones micro SD card, the cameras usb cord is required to do so. This product is nicely priced and is built well, works as advertised and is cheaper then it’s competitors.

Excellent product would like to buy more but out of stock hopefully more come in stock. Excellent product worked as advertised and also worked with the higher speed USB sticks. With no issues.

I had bought the plug type adapter like this but prefer the corded version to easier plug in a USB-A drive to transfer files. This adapter lets me make use of the usb-C port converting it to an extra usb-A 3.0 port. Much preferred over the smaller plug adapter, easier to handle plugins.

This adapter is small and easy to hook up and reasonably priced.

This thing has been amazing since I bought it. It works in both my MacBook Pro and iPad Pro. It’s fast, reliable, and built sturdily (yes that’s not a word). I would totally recommend this.

Love this thing. As many companies have moved their devices to type C connections I still have type devices I want to keep. This little adapter makes it easy to continue using those devices with ease. Easy, inexpensive problem solver.

This is a must have for anyone who has or is purchasing the newer laptops that only have USD-C connections. This literally saved me when I had to connect to a DVD player to transfer some files. Great value for the price and is compatible with Macs.

Simple to use and great price. Works perfect no issues

This adapter is much less than the Apple version and works well. I use it for bus powered and AC powered devices (ex. SuperDrive, External Hard Drives) on the MacBook Pro with touchbar. However, it works intermittently with USB-A flash drives in my experience. All in all, I'm happy with the overall performance of this adapter.

I purchased this Insignia™ - USB Type-C-to-A Adapter - White in order to charge my Magic Mouse 2. It works great! I ended up purchasing this as it was less pricey option available. If you need to get an adapter for any device that has a Type-C USB, I would recommend getting this one.
