So i decided to buy this bulb and expand my automation of the house. I love the quick response and feedback of this system with the bulb. I have noticed that the hole bulb is not filled with light which i would say it could be used for recessed canned lights. Quick and easy to set up and no hassles!

I bought this to work with my Insteon network contoller. It did not work as well as the wall plugin type unit. It did not turn on or off reliably. In the end I returned it.

I just wrote a review about the Insteon Starter Kit. I purchased the LED light with the Starter Kit. The LED light functions well and dims nicely without flicker. The only downfall is the LED bulb is a bit pricey. I've owned the LED bulb for about a month now and have experienced no issues.

The light bulb itself works, but people buy a wireless light bulb to control it with a switch, and the Insteon Hub never worked!

This is a great light bulb. Its like if the light bulb was reinvented . I would definitely recommend this product.

Purchased a few bulbs as a cheaper version of light control than the dimmer modules. Only got one to work at close range to the hub. Winded up returning and getting more dimmer modules as they use both the RF and the wired lan for conectivity. If you have a use close to the hub (same room) then use the LED bulb, otherwise I would recommend the dimmer modules.

Setup was a little glitchy, but otherwise, great product.

This bulb was easy to set up and works great with the insteon hub.

Great products from insteon, many other players in this industry, hope to have other easy to use home automation products come out and be readily available.

Has a pleasing color temperature. Works well with the Insteon App or hub.

Wasn't clear that app alone wouldn't operate bulb when purchased.

The 2700k light emitted from this bulb is pleasing to the eye as it mimics an incandescent pretty well. It's not as bright as a standard 60 watt bulb, but it's not far off. Besides lighting it acts as an Insteon dual band device and it does exactly what it's supposed to do as part of a home automation system. Only negative is a slight hum when close to the bulb; however, if used in overhead fixtures you probably won't notice it, so try one before you splurge on a bunch of these. In order to use this and any other Insteon product you will need their hub or another manufactures compatible hub as the "brains" of the system. You can also download / purchase software to run on a PC or Mac, but that system has to be always on in order for certain schedules and events to occur. I started with an Insteon starter kit and have been expanding ever since.

I have a iinst eon home automation setup. and i wanted to replace bulbs where i cant replace switch and this worked perfectly well.
