Great little chip for the $150 i paid. It’s pretty even with the ryzen 3600 when not overclocked (which i don’t want to overclock) . bundled this with an (overkill) z490 motherboard because u can get $15 a motherboard when you bundle with the cpu @ best buy.

Pretty good Cpu for the price I had bought it for.

As of right now, this is the value champion. Don't let the i5 fool you. This thing competes with and in most cases beats previous gen i7 chips and is only a few percentage points behind its amd competitor, the 3600, at about 80% of the cost.

Its very good bang for the buck , definitely a nice easy upgrade into 10th gen processors and easy to install

I have this paired with the MSI 490 apro, It has exceeded my expectations. I play Rainbow Six, COD, Minecraft the works. I have yet to find a task where this CPU has failed me.

Always loved Intel processor but was debating i5 vs Ryzen5. Went with i5 as specs were very comparable and i5 was on sale. No complaints at all. Never had any issues with performance especially when gaming

Handles everything i need just fine. Solid performance from intel. Perfect for my build as I didn't want to buy a graphics card in this market (let alone some cheap one), so the onboard graphics suits me fine for my needs.

Bought for a mining rig. This Intel runs smoothly and have had no issues. Combined with an Asus motherboard and a Corsair 240 liquid cooler my temps are right where they need to be.

I was unfortunately forced to go Intel for my latest build due to a complete lack of reasonably-priced stock (or stock, period) on Ryzen 3000/4000/5000 processors. The i5-10400 is a pretty good value at $150 for six decent cores. But, if you can find a Ryzen 5 3600 in stock for $200, grab that instead for the superior performance and overclockability now and the platform longevity down the road.

I used this CPU in a budget build for my wife's desktop that she uses for photo editing. Paired with a Z590 motherboard and it's been fantastic. Rock solid, especially for the price.

The 10400 provides excellent single-core and multi-core performance for an affordable price but can be cheaper. Pairs great with XFX5700XT and MSI Z490 A-PRO. Cant complain.Waiting for new generation Intel CPU.

Easy integration, "just works". Comes with a cooler. 6 cores with HyperThreading provide ample compute power for most desktop applications while the 65W TDP means you don't need headache-inducing high speed fans.

Picked this up for a gaming-only build after researching. This chip lived up to expectations! While definitely not the greatest on market, it still works very well, beating out some previous generation's i7.

I had to return this processor because I hadn't realized that Intel had a new socket for 10th gen i5's. My mistake, I was in a holiday hurry. Dropped this off and bought the last LGA1151 i5 instead.

Great bang for the buck!! Better multitasking than the cheaper i3 10100 for barely any additional cost. Use it for working from home (accounting work) and gaming on the weekends (WoW, Starcraft, OW).

It's a good processor what what it aims to be. A budget option. It was purchased to help someone start the PC gaming experience and hasn't disappointed yet.

Amazing cpu, don’t let anyone tell you you have to have to have an i7 for gaming, hell even an i3 works great. This works wonders and can mine crypto if your into that
