I built my very first PC during what seem like a black Friday shopping “season” and I decided to go with the i5-10600K for PC gaming. My initial experience was just fine and there were no issues getting this CPU working right out of the box. However, after watching popular YouTube tech channels, I quickly had buyer’s remorse as most explained that a 6 core, 12 thread CPU is likely not going to cut it past 3 years+ for AAA gaming. So even though my initial PC experience was just fine, I went ahead and returned this for an i7-10700K instead which has 8 cores, 16 threads which should provide some PC longevity for gaming. Everyone’s situation is different, and if you are looking at buying this CPU, have confidence that it will work just fine out of the box and will likely meet your immediate PC needs. Likes: Easy to setup after installing Dislikes: Cooling fan not included Oh, by the way: If you want PC horsepower with some longevity, you might want to opt for an i7 or i9 series CPU. I think the i7 will meet the majority of peoples needs though.

Great cpu, Installed on MSI z590 pro Wi-Fi, works like magic,everythin from games at 4k resolution 60hz to internet and casual cumputing is executed 2x faster and stronger than others cpu I had in the past( paired whit corsair 2x8 gb and msi z590 also purchased here at best buy). Windows load 3x times faster than other cpu/motherbards combo. its take 10 to 15 seconds to have windows loaded at the welco,me screen 10 more seconds to antivirus and other components to load. very happy whit it chose intel over Amd having the best of best at 2021 current time. thanks

Upgraded from a i7-7700 and it's amazing how much faster this is. Primarily bought because I felt my old cpu was bottlenecking me in games like Warzone. Warzone jumped from 90-120fps with a 3080 up to 130-170fps Don't overthink it, Intel is still the best chip for a gaming pc. Ryzen you will deal with more issues with drivers, etc. and all those cores/threads aren't needed for gaming. Someday? maybe but they have been saying that for years

Easy Install, Runs Great, Fast not as fast as higher models but i pull 4.1 ghz the whole time. But I do have an MSI motherboard with 3200mhz RAM and a 1TB SSD. IOS boots in 8 to 10 seconds. Both my wife and I have the i5 6 core 10th gen processor.

If you're looking for a solid foundation, easy & predictable OC, scalablility & stability then it's 'how many $'s for which number.' I bought the 10G/i5 unlocked. Glad I did.

only 6 cores but typically faster speed then others with 8 or more. Perfect if you only use a single application. I bought this for a that reason alone.

Fantastic CPU. Very similar to an i7-4790k. This CPU is actually a lot newer and actually a better value right now.

Overall, if you compare this processor to others in the LGA 1200, 10th Gen release its a good value. The i3 10100 and 10400 are also pretty compelling for the price. If your trying to decide which processor I recommend doing a processor comparison on search with the both, a lot will come up. I initially was going to go with a budget i3 and later get a upgraded processor next year sometime but ended up getting this. That's another thing to consider, there will be next gen Intel processors coming out after this series that are compatible with your upgraded Motherboard.

This is a great entry level cpu. Very fast and runs cool.

this Cpu is fantasticly fast... if your looking for a gaming Cpu this is the one... if your looking for a budget build... this is the one.... nothing negative to say, Except.... it doesnt come with its own heat sink... but who wants a stock heat sink anyway...

5 stars thus far as performance has been great for limited use. Still room to grow as I have yet to make use of the ability to overclock with the unlocked cpu. Will come back to update to 4 stars if it doesnt handle the overclocking well, but for now 5/5.

the 10600K is a good cpu for gaming and a bit overkill if your only using it for web browsing. with a decent aftermarket cooler you can get close to or around 5ghz if overclocking. (not all cpu’s can overclock that high)

Super fast and cheap CPU for gaming out of the box. Make it even better with overclock. A dream come true?! It's a definite YES.

Great processor, does everything I expected it to do, even overclocked it to 5.0 Ghz with lots of stability. Highly recommended.

Great overclocking cpu! Don't let anyone bring you down from buying this product. Its performance is just slightly and I mean slightly lower than a i7 and a i9.

I5-10600K. Not much to say. It is a good middle of the line Intel chip. Works great for what I needed. Best Buy had lowest price.
