I installed this in a GIGABYTE B660 Gaming X AX DDR4 since I'm not overclocking and the board has all the features I wanted at a good price. It's paired with 16 GB DDR4 3200 CL14 RAM and a Phanteks 240 MP AIO liquid cooler. CPU temp never rose above 55 degrees during a 60 minute 100% CPU usage stress test with the stock Phantek fans. With Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans, temp is in the high 40s during the same stress test. Running No Man's Sky at 2560×1080 resolution and ultra settings with a GTX 1080 and v-sync enabled, fps never drops below 70 and is over 100 with v-sync disabled. My previous system had an i5-6400 which was usually at 100% CPU utilization while gaming. Now CPU utilization hovers around 14%. Keep in mind the KF does not have the integrated Intel GPU so a discreet card is required. This was a worthwhile upgrade and one I'm very happy with.

Definitely an improvement from my 8th gen Intel CPU. Plays all the modern games well at 1080p 100+ fps with my 3060 TI. Would recommend this CPU for anybody who wants to get high frames within 1080p gameplay.

The Intel i5-12600K was fast. I havent overclocked and it runs AAA title games with ease and then some. The low pricepoint makes it an incredible first PC CPU

With the processing power I need performed, this CPU has handled scientific calculation (and just about most things I throw at this, from games to general purpose use) swiftly and accurately well below 50 Centigrade without ever needing to overclock this CPU. As always, follow instructions for correct CPU installation and check for bent pins before complaint.

I managed to snag this for under 250 and at that price it is an absolute steal. It is able to handle all the gaming, office and photo editing that I do.

Solid cpu. Its stable. Its not super hot and its a powerful cpu. Cant really complain honestly. I have a 14900k thats delidded and i got this as a backup cpu while im changing the liquid metal on my 14900k lol. Kind of a flex but i hate not being able to use my PC while the glue is drying or while im changing the liquid metal

12600k is a beast! Competes with the much more expensive 5800x without the temp issues. Running an NH-D15 and never peaks above 65 under load.

I'm running this thing in an H510 Flow case, MSI Z690A Pro Wifi DDR4, 3600 CL16 Trident Z, Noctua NH-U12A cooler. 7,200 CB R20 with a basic 4.9 turbo ratio overclock, incredible. With the U12A at full speed it gets into the low 80's during overclocked benchmarks. It will still do a 6,400-6,500 stock pulling 115w instead of the 165w it pull @4.9 all core which drops temps to around 70c or less. Gaming is more of the same, exceptional single core and great multi core. This thing is more performant than last gen 8 core processors from Intel/AMD, and looks to be the sweet spot if you're doing mainly gaming, even with a higher end card.

Was debating between a 13600k and this 12600k. The price difference between the cpus and the minimal benchmark performance in gaming, i went with this bad boy and was not disappointed. Very solid CPU and does not get above 60 degrees celsius with my 212 evo. Should be good for a while before purchasing another!
