Intel Stability

The other brand may be in the limelight as the latest and greatest bigger faster stronger, but the Intel line is not slouching. The tried and true stability and reliability of the intel platform keeps me coming back every upgrade. And this i7 is fast enough for all my needs.

Nearly the same gaming performance as i9-10900K

"Overall, the Core i7-10700K gives you nearly the same gaming performance as the Core i9-10900K, but for $110 less, and overclocking eliminates any meaningful difference in gaming performance between the chips. Box was opened. ...

I took it out and the processor doesnt have any scratches or anything, but still, I didn't pay for an open box, i bought new online, and got an open box for my efforts. Now I am lowkey scared my processor was swapped out for a different one, or defective one

Good cpu from intel

I bought it as a temporary while I wait for Rocket Lake to come out because the price was right. For 4k gaming it is completely sufficient. I lost the silicon lottery though, there wasn't much overclocking headroom.

Good Processors

It's an excellent processor but too expensive

I could not seem to get performance increases with overclocking the 10700k. Aside from that, I decided to get a Ryzen 9 3900x because it's about the same price and I get more for the money. The 10700k runs excellent though and was very easy to install, but with AMD there seems to be little issues to deal with. Also, I learned that the 3900x isn't easily overclockable either. Both of them are already basically adjusted to perfection stock.

Intels new series of processors

I don’t game hard, and I’m sure my gpu doesn’t either. Been running a couple months now and seems to be holding up fine. At least for what I do.
