Basically "overkill" for a cpu. I purchased this cpu, and ever day I use it I think, this is basically too much. An i9 would be crazy. It would have been better to get an i5. Most home users will not be able to use it's power even at stock speeds. Operates at 37C at idle and 70C, on an air cooler. Can easily be overclocked , on an after market air cooler, and tops out at about 82C under a stress test.

Easy to use, for gaming, go with Ryzen 5000 series. I purchased this since it was in store about 10 minutes away and actually available at MSRP. All Ryzen chips are not available, so that's the biggest reason I went with this. However, for 1080p gaming, this thing is pretty darn good. Allows my OC 3060Ti to run at 95-100% in 1080p in modern titles. Boards are really expensive compared to the Ryzen chipset.

The 10700k was the perfect fit for my build. I get great stress test and benching scores with this CPU. If you’re torn between a 10th and 11th Gen i7 you can’t go wrong with a 10700k.

Had trouble with my online order. Walked over to shelf and boom there it was. However order desk said it was out of stock. After pulling my own order I left the store with it. Performs as expected

I upgrade my PC every 3 years. This 10700k replace my 7700k from my 2017 build and so far has really impressed. It's as good of gaming CPU as you'll find in 2020 and I'm definitely impressed.

I wanted to try an Intel platform so I put this on a ASUS Z490 board and can say that it is stable, powerful but cool for day to day task and has the capability to really go if you overclock.

This chip is pretty fast for the cost. Even though I got it at its highest cost of $409 and now it has slipped on cost since the newer ish ones are out. But I’m still happy with the purchase.

I upgraded from a i7-6700K. I doubled my cores, but I feel like I quadrupled my processing speed! I can work Adobe, and play a game at the same time if I want! I definitely recommend!

I bought this for a video editing build and it was everything I hoped for. It's fast and handles 4k footage at 60fps without issue. I'm running it with a RX 5500XT and together they are great.

Got this in December when it was on sale and its been a very great cpu. Haven't overclocked yet either but will later down the road if I need to but its pretty fast stock at 4.8mhz.

As usual, a great processor from intel. Temps don’t change that much at a ~4.7GHz overlock. Handled rendering projects with ease and encodes streams fast at high qualities.

Love this cpu fast for my games!!!!! Works great right out of the box. So far it's not running hot. Have a hyper 212 on it. But I will put watercooling on it When I over clock it.

Bought this as an upgrade to a back up PC I have if my main system were to go down. Especially now until the chip shortage ends. Does run off 14/10 nano process. But, recently intel has been making a comeback. Does run all my applications and does not have any issues handling any of the games or applications I run on this system.

Great processor I haven’t got any problem with it, I definitely recommend it Buy it. Just make sure you buy a motherboard that goes with the processor other than that it’s awesome

Powerful CPU, the price is reasonable. You can wait a great deal for this cpu

Amazing product. I wanted to make sure my PC is future proofed for awhile and this definitely did that! Just wish I could get a 3000 series for retail prices :(.

Great processor for my new gaming pc, paired it with Z590 Gundam edition and runs great with my 3080ti.

Got this cpu to 5.2 ghz easily with an AIO cooler, You won't regret this purchase. Especially since all the 10900k cpus are sold out!

So far so good. It is being used in a mid-high build with emphasis on value. Chip looked good and is performing well, although we didn’t use any official benchmarks.
