The i7-14700K is excellent at ALL tasks including video editing at 4K at 60fps. Check out my brief vide edit demo: https://youtu.be/BIemcJvz_i8?si=qaa8eP9oSHbIuA6d

Definitely makes everything snappier. Provides a needed performance boost for analytics I perform. Power usage appears to be far better than reviewers talk about!

Upgraded from a 10th gen i9 and the speed increase is amazing. Installed with a ROG Strix z790 and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. 10/10 would buy again.

I am building a gaming computer. I have never done gaming since my 1980 experiences building the Heath-kit H-89 computer and writing a pong game in basic. Looking forward now to see what todays gaming is all about.
The I7 is on the motherboard and powered up.
No smoke yet.

Was not impressed at all, stopped working properly after 40 days. This combined with the GeForce 4060 TI 16gb, did well for the first week, then was getting 25FPS! now I upgraded my rig and motherboard used is ASUS TUF Z790-Pro. It also ran very hot and I was using ICUE H150I. I switched back to my I5 13400F and got 80 - 100FPS on AAA games.. I'm not an expert but I've been building my own rigs for 15years. Honestly feel it was a bad CPU.. which I'm out $400. Good luck..

I've run Intel exclusively since replacing a Phenom II in what had to be 2010/2011.
After I had purchased it articles on stability issues started popping up. They didn't really worry me especially as they were mainly surrounding the 13900/14900 i9s..But that was until I started having random crashes that have ultimately been pinpointed to the CPU.
What makes it worse is..I'm stuck with it. I spent $900 on the CPU, a motherboard obviously for this specific chipset, and less importantly - RAM. There's no fix from Intel. RMA? Sure, for the same CPU with an inherent design flaw and an apparent 100% failure rate (that percentage is based on 3rd party investigators, not made up.)
If I switch to an AMD CPU I'm basically out another $700. Everything minus RAM. I'm a college student, I can't afford that.
At least whilst it is working, it's fast?
