Great Processor!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a fantastic chip. This is my first chip on an Intel platform and I could not be happier. It's a bit expensive, but is an excellent processor if the price tag isn't an issue. The X79 platform can support quad-channel memory (BONUS!), as well as additional PCI-e lanes and PCI-E 3.0. This is a bombshell of a chip (7.8 WEI... 7.9 is nearly impossible to hit, look online), runs my games smooth as butter. Windows is instantaneous when combined with a SSD. Mac has nothing on a well-built PC. DON'T FORGET TO PURCHASE A GOOD FAN! It does not come with one, which is probably not an issue since if you're planning to buy this you're probably going to get a nice aftermarket cooler anyways. I paired mine with an Hyper 212 EVO. Idles below 20C. Full load is like 60's, if that.
