Holy macoroni, this thing is a beast from the east... its the fastest cpu ever made... the problem is out of the box its a enthusiast cpu.. it runs extremly hot.. which means you need enthusiast cooling... out of the box it doesnt work. You have to go into the bios and change settings for it to work. Once you dial it in, its a jet going mach 10... but you need experience in the bios and experience with voltages/sa voltages...

PC has improved tremendously! Speeds are fast! I upgraded from a Ryzen 7 and it blows it out of the water.

This chip is a process improvement over the 13th gen chips. If you want to plug and play this isnt it. The power limits are set to unlimited on most motherboards so this thing is like that one uncle who shows up when the party is open bar, it will take all it can until its too drunk to dance. Setting appropriate limits in your BIOS will reign it in and you could see some performance gains over 13th gen chips, but mostly it will perform about the same while using less power. Youtube DeBauer 14900k or JayzTwoCents 14900k for an explanation. PL1/PL2 @253 is Intel recommended. If your already on a 13900k skip this, it's not worth the cost. 11th, 10th, or earlier gens, it could be worth it.

Runs way too hot for gaming. I would suggest going for something that runs cooler for gaming.

I purchased this as an upgrade from my 13th Gen Intel. And I am glad I did it!

I bought this CPU and paired it with a 4070ti, I genuinely cannot find a game that won’t run 1440p 240hz at max settings. This processor is so good that I’m convinced my monitor is a bottleneck now. 15/10 would buy again.

Intel's Core i9-14900K processor is essentially the Core i9-13900K with a slight clock boost, but a bit more prone to overheating and throttling. If you can find a 13900K for less money, opt for it, as the 14900K is much the same chip in practice.

I splurged to buy the best cpu available at the time, and I have not regretted it. This CPU handles multiple virtual machines simultaneously, as if they are entirely separate PCs. The only caveat really is the need to buy a CPU cooler capable of handling it, and that adds even more cost to the build.

It was very worth upgrading from my i7 8700K to this newer CPU. I barely get hang-ups when trying to load anything on my computer anymore and, unlike other PC parts, is reasonably priced still.

For the price you’ll not need anymore, you can do whatever, literally. Easy to install and it’s a beast.

I upgraded from the 12700K to 14900K. I kept all other components the same. I do notice faster multi core performance and some gains in gaming depending on the title. I do use zips often and emulators like RPCS3 and the 14900K def delivers. I would highly recommend you pair this with a 360 AIO or you set the PL1 and PL2 to Intel defaults. This thing runs hot on my 240 AIO and it idles in the high 30s. At full load it climbs to 70+C using Intel's limits. If I enable Asus MCE then it's too hot for my cooling solution. If you are on 11th gen or older, get this. If you are on 12th gen or newer you will be underwhelmed without spending time tweaking many settings in the BIOS. This is not a plug and play chip. It's for tweakers. If you want plug and play buy the 12900K. It's cheaper, runs cooler and has headroom for OC.

Best processor in my opinion, others had issues with overheating, I’ve never had an issue with it, I’m not overclocking so that’s probably why but works well when not OC

Its fast and powerful, but it runs hotter than the surface of the sun lol. I have a huge double tower cooler with the best thermal paste and 140mm fans - and the chip under full load will hover in the 90’s (C) - and it idles in the 30s. Other than that, it rips through anything you throw at it.

An absolute beast of a processor. It’s definitely overkill for most use cases, but the performance is unreal. Everything feels instant and it handles heavy workloads without any effort. Amazing to have if you want the best.

It runs hot. Takes some tweaking to get the best performance. Probably not the best gaming CPU out there. It is powerful and a solid option. Make sure you get a powerful cooler.

Was a bit hesitant with the reported issues, but at least according to Intel, those have been resolved. The performance is fantastic, fast, and very good for gaming/multi-processing needs.
