CPU runs at 100C? read my review

I had to spend an entire day figuring out how to get temperatures under control even with a 360mm AIO this thing will run in Autoconfiguration from the bios to pull max power 253+ watts at 100C depending on the game you are playing or what you are doing. I finally found a video that explained to me what was going on. I adjusted my PL1/PL2 limits from 253/253 to 145/253 and I went from a cinebench score of 35,000 100C thermal throttle to 31,000 63C all core temp average. This is already a lot of information for an average user and I had no idea or was even aware of all of this information prior to purchase but I recommend giving this video a look over instead of running the CPU at 100C thermal throttled on the regular. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnzDawjBcPM&t=11s

Although pricy, I thought I didn't need this much power until I had it. It's such a game changer going from a 9th gen processor (Which i already felt was great) to a, let alone 14th gen, an i9 14th gen. I am still mindblown every day using it. Great purchase. If you plan to build a new pc and are deciding for a processor, save up a bit more for it. I promise its worth it

The I9 14900K is the endpoint of upgrade path for me. The KS CPUs are likely just factory overclocked K CPUs as told by the TDP. Upgrade is now in the graphics cards, which I didn't need for my initial build, and drives and RAM. I can now underclock for power efficiency when on RV batteries in the wild, and overclock for fun and games. Its DAW for now and animation graphics later. The CPU install was straight forward. I won't need another build for many years. Worth a little extra money.

Think I got lucky and avoided getting a defective one because this thing has been amazing so far. I’ve had it for over half a year now and it’s beast. Runs everything no issues. Even star Citizen lol. Getting 60FPS in that game which is very impressive.

So this is weird to say this but i .ay just make the move permanently from AMD to Intel this i9 probably one of the best ive had. I normally use AMD cause you can get roughlythe same experience for a cheaper price but even AMD knows it so they started raising their prices. This purchase comes down to what side of the street you wana walk on, either AMD or Intel... either way your good to go

Upgraded from the 13900k ( had to rma and they refunded me as they were out of stock). The 14900k seems to be a bit more efficient and slightly cooler at the same processes as the 13900k. That being said its still incredibly difficult to cool. You will need a very good liquid cooling solution. As long as you are good with that this thing is a monster.

Extreme performance, stable 6 GHZ on all performance cores and with the proper cooling beats Ryzen 7000 in efficiency and decimates in everything performance. You will need a new motherboard for the next generation Intel 15th generation, but Intels performance path with the 14900k makes this well worth any price. Rock solid stability, effortlessly overclocks with AI, as future proof as you could ever buy.

This can get really heated up , i am talking about 212*F . You would definetly need to go for a AIO cooler if you are getting this one. Dont get me wrong , this is a really powerful system but gets really heated up. To deal with the temps , undervolting can be another solution
