Beware! This is a Socket 478 Intel Pentium IV "Northwood" processor, dating WAY back from Feb. 2002!!! It is NOT compatible with any modern equipment, or indeed with ANY computer or motherboard Best Buy sells.. As noted above, it is a slow 32-bit processor, does not have Hyperthreading, has a tiny cache by modern standards, and has a very slow bus speed as well.
It is true that this particular Pentium IV was almost the fastest that many Dell and Asus motherboards of the day (seven years ago!) could support, and one would get the full manufacturer's warranty buying it here, but this is outrageously priced. You'd only want this if you were trying to repair or upgrade a vintage computer, but it should be on closeout for MUCH less.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
