Much if this film was shot in IMAX, but you keep the big black bars throughout the entire film on digital. I think this is a Christopher Nolan problem. Not a problem if you have a 4k blu ray player, but man are they expensive.

I believe you should only buy it if you like it and will rewatch it, that's just my personal criteria to buy physical media. Also, it helps that they did a great job with the IMAX scenes that really separate a bluray from a 4KUHD disc. Enjoy!

The changing aspect ratio due to IMAX footage could annoy you but the image it gives is 10/10. If you love a good image you can't go wrong with Christopher Nolan films.
