This movie has amazing production value and made for a very excellent watch. However, I found the story and even the emotional content of the movie to be formulaic and predictable by the end. Therefore, Interstellar is a must see for movie fans, but I can't guarantee you'll want or need to see it again.

A must own on blu ray for the picture quality you won't be let down!

good movie but what happened to earth? earth gone!

This movie had such potential.. But they made a BIG mistake in choosing Michael Mcconaughey as the main character. The subject matter was complex enough and didn't need Mr. Maconnaughey's speech impediment to add to its complexity. I really liked this actor on Mud and other simplistic movies he worked on, but when you try to portray a 5th dimension and the complexities and theories of the space and time continuum, Michael is just about as good as P-Wee Herman would be. The movie plot was average at best, if you know much about the subject matter, the end was predictable. If you don't know much, prepare to watch it at least 3 times just to understand the basics. Overall, the movie missed the mark and I can see why it was largely ignored by the Oscars. I typically judge movies as "I will buy this when it comes out on Blu-ray" or "this is a Redbox free-day rental", and this is it - A Redbox free-day rental or just wait as it will be on Netflix shortly. Not worth the time at all .

Movie was too long for what it was, a rental only!

somehow received a USED copy in the mail?!?!?!?! had shrink wrap, but no sticker on the case to peel off, no DIGITAL COPY was inside, the case was heavily scratched, even though it was under shrink wrap, and one of the clips to hold the case closed was broken and the broken plastic wasnt inside. Not available in store anywhere near me and doubt they'd let me return it since its an open movie. Shame on you Best Buy.

I really wanted to like this movie but it was just horrible. The music? Soundtrack was mind grating and I couldn't hear a lot of the voices over the distracting music. I couldn't wait to leave the theater. I actual left with a headache. I don't understand how this movie got so many good reviews, maybe the theater had the sound set up wrong. Mathew speaks too softly to make out over the soundtrack, many movies these days could be mixed better.
