Solid album from a great band

It is a worthy entry into NTB's catalog but just seems to be missing ... something. While I applaud the band's drive and ambition to write and record an album in three weeks, I think the album suffers by feeling rushed. I can't help but think that if circumstances were different and they had spent their usually 2-3 years writing and recording that we would've gotten a very different, better collection of songs. Again, it's good, just not as good as their usual efforts.
