Love this movie read the book countless times finally bought movie and is good also

Good movie with a great cast based on the book by the same name written by Jon Krakauer which portrays the true story of Christopher McCandless who chose to give his savings to charity, rid himself of his possessions, and set out on a journey to the Alaskan wilderness.

Sean Penn directed this movie based on the actual life experiences of a young man disillusioned by "society". It is a heartwarming account of the journey taken by Christopher Johnson McCandless who learned the importance of having people in his life.

Movie was overall pretty good, but not excellent. There were Manu dull moments and what seem like time fillers. If you are interested about his journey, you will be satisfied with about two thirds of the movie. Also if you want to see some of the most beautiful sites in our beloved USA, then you will like the scenery this movie takes you through.

So sad this guy really let that happen to him. The movie does a pretty good rendition of all the events but still, there's so much more of what he went through that we'll never know. I definitely recommend checking out the documentary!

My dad recently read this book and raved about it. He was very excited to receive the blu ray of it for Christmas. Would recommend for fans of the book.

Started out with a good theme but then it was interesting with the I want to only live in the wild....but worth a try!

Based on the book, a young man leaves his old life behind to his adventure in the Alaskan wild. The movie cuts back to his journey and old life. I enjoyed the idea of being free to leave my old life and start over......

Is great movie based off of a novel all but you wanna go to Alaska

An awesome true story reagarding family life, interpersonal struggles and the value of relationships. The scenery and sound track is also very good.

We've all been there. In this movie we get to play along with a 'screw it all' scenario. This one's a great toker for the hooka.

I cannot believe this disc is not any more expensive! Packaging, content, and delivery just as expected.

Every aspect of this movie was fantastic! If You are an adventurist you will LOVE it!

Terrible! This was quite possibly one of the worst films ever! Some things should stay books... A friend of ours said she heard great things about this movie and a group of us should watch it together. Half of us didn't last the whole movie it was so bad... As pay back we bought this movie for $5 and gave it to our friend as a payback gag gift. She laughed and then threw it across the room. It will never make it out of the plastic wrap. Stay away... Unless you too have a friend that deserves a gag gift.
