As a big fan of the stage show, I was skeptical of this adaptation, as director Rob Marshall's other films all blew chunks (seriously, I have despise every other movie on his filmography). But the impressive cast made me quite intrigued. Lo and behold, this movie is darn near perfect. All the actors sing very well, emote properly, and act believably- Chris Pine steals the show as Prince Charming! If there is any issues, it is that the elapsed time from the first to second acts doesn't translate too well onscreen, and there had to have been a better way to make that transition apparent. Still, if you don't mind your fairy tales dark and not all that happy, I recommend this quite a bit.

I love this musical, and although Meryl Streep does a good job, Bernadette Peters will always be my ideal witch. I think they did a great job adapting the stage version into a movie. I understand why most of the changes were made. The only cut I am disappointed with is the Agony reprise because it is hilarious. I love how the melodies were kept for the cut songs and there is a song from A Little Night Music playing at the ball - that part made my day. Great casting.

"Into The Woods" is a fantastic portrayal of the original Broadway musical for all to enjoy. However, if you are a fan of the musical, you may be disappointed with this movie. There were several things changed to fit into the Disney mold. However, I do give props to the amazing cast. The entire movie was brilliantly cast. I rate it 3/5. It's definitely worth seeing and will be a musical favorite to children.

Excellent movie. Enjoy seeing the stage version better. But for those that can't see that this is a good substitute.

Watched this with my teenage daughter and teenage son. Daughter and I both enjoyed the songs and plot twists. Son does not enjoy music and couldn't wait for the movie to end. Recommend it only for the music lovers.

I shop around other site and typically find that Best Buy has the best price on movies unless another place is having a sale.

This movie was awesome. The music was excellent, the acting was excellent, and I really liked the costume and set design too.

My husband and I went and saw this movie in the theaters. Love this musical and happy to have it relived in my home.

I saw and bought into the trailers i didnt even realize it was a musical. From the trailers it seemed like a Alice and Wonderland/Brothers Grimm type movie I was way off. Good acting is the only thing that saved this movie.

Learning how each fairy tale is/could be tied to the nest is great. Love the play and love the movie.

This is a great movie for lovers of broadway musicals, fairy tales, and the woods of all ages.

Disney has taken a classic story and revamped it for today's audience. Perfection all around.
