Had it for a couple of months now and works flawlessly. Used to connect my laptop to my big screen with a 25 feet HDMI cable but when I moved that wouldn't work anymore, did some research and this was the best option. So far no interference, disconnections or anything like that. The image and sound are perfect. The only thing I don't like so far is that sometimes it doesn't wake up automatically so I have to turn it on with the remote, other than that is the same as having it wired.

I’m using it for a projector setup that is about 16 feet away in direct line of site. The connections are simple. It automatically detects signal and turns on when the display and source (Blu-ray) are on. The transmitter and receiver appears to sync fine. The light on both boxes are solid blue. Watching regular 1080p signal is quite good. There is no noticeable lag. The projector has no speakers so I do not know if any sound is also wirelessly transmitted. The hdmi out to the receiver does have a signal through it. So there is a wireless hdmi signal to the projector as well as simultaneous sound through to the receiver. Things change with a 3D signal. At first I could not get any 3D signal to transmit to the projector. I tried to turn everything off and restart the system several times thinking it might be an hdmi syncing issue. Nothing worked. I exchanged for another unit at the store thinking I had a bad device the first time. This second unit again worked great on regular 1080p material but when I put in a 3D disc, this time it did transmit a 3D signal but the picture would drop out for a second or two at a time every 5 to 10 minutes, effectively making it horrible to watch any 3D sources. Bottom line is it functions great on regular 1080p but questionable in regards to 3D material. If you don’t intend on watching 3D bluray then this product is fine. Otherwise it can be a hit or miss for more frequent 3D watchers.

I had a problem, I needed to get my Cable signal into my living room where my wife wanted to be able to watch TV. This is her preferred place because of the comfortable leather couch and Harmon wood pellet stove. You know what they say about a happy wife! I really didn't want to have to crawl around in the attic running a new cable connection and I did not want to have to rip into my newly painted walls either! I also wanted to stop connecting up the 50' HDMI cable that we had been using (and tripping over).
I did a little research and found this I/O Gear unit on Best Buy's website that looked like it was going to do everything I needed. I ordered it as a Christmas gift for my wife. When it arrived it took me all of about 10 minutes to read the instructions (yes, I did read the instructions) and it took about 5 minutes to set it up!
It worked like a charm, started up first thing! I could not believe how great it was working and how easy it was to set up! I even tried different channels with different broadcast capabilities (1080 etc) and the unit adjusted automatically! I can't believe I never thought to do this before.
I would recommend this to anyone looking to share their main cable signal ( or any signal) to a TV in a separate room.
Forgot to mention that I initially tried this from the cable box in my bedroom (it was easier to test it from there) and the signal worked great, a distance of over 40 feet with several walls containing pipes and wiring all of which appeared to have no detrimental affect on the wireless signal.

Purchased for a bedroom setup that required TV to be on a wall but Cable box 15 feet away. As long as the boxes are oriented correctly I get great signal but if they are turned sideways to each other it can drop out. This could also be because I am surrounded by WiFi signals in my neighborhood. Would buy again as it fixed my problem at a reasonable price.

This wireless HDMI setup works surprisingly well. Picture quality is still great on my 1080p TV and I have no noticed any increase in lag.
I do have a few quibbles with the product. First, it is expensive. If you can run a cable instead of buying this do it instead. On Amazon you can get a 50ft HDMI for less than $25. Second, there is a few seconds delay when turning it on where there is no picture displayed. Lastly, it did not support ARC back from my TV.
Overall, if I did not have my TV in a place where I could not run a hidden cable I would not have bought this. However, since I could not run a cable without tearing up my walls there is nothing better.

I was actually quite stunned at the great performance of this kit. It works well beyond my expectations in my particular scenario. Same room, roughly 20ft from the television.
My performance for the kit is the best possible scenario as the transmitter and receiver are in the same room.
I purchased a USB cable to power the device using my TV USB port. The USB port on the TV is switched, so it automatically turns the receiver on with the TV. Instant connection, by the time the TV boots up, the signal has already been acquired.
Have not had any loss of signal or pixilation since installing. It does get a little picky when switching between the two ports as my Apple TV transmits at a different resolution than my TiVo, but it is not really a problem. Once I get my Onkyo receiver, switching will be done via the receiver and not the HDMI transmitter.
This product was a true lifesaver! I hate cords!

I had my reservations about the accuracy of reviews, I thought that it wasn't possible to accomplish a 1080 picture without getting down and dirty running cable through crawl spaces and drilling holes in 2x4's or walls. No need, this thing actually works as advertised. INCREDIBLE! The only negative comment was that the performance was effected by placing the receiving unit directly under the TV. once it was placed outside the perimeter of the frame of the TV it has been flawless.

If you want to watch TV in a room without cable and use your wifi to control your cable box in another room and transmit the signal then this is the perfect product. This system worked like a charm and was really easy to set up. In less than 15 minutes I was able to sit in my living room and watch my new big screen TV using my cable provider's remote to control the DVR in another room. No line of sight required. With the exception of an occasional slight delay in responding to a command you wouldn't know that the cable line and DVR weren't in the room.
Sometimes it takes the signal a few ,minutes to stabilize when you first bring it online so don't panic. I've had this hooked up for about four months and it's never taken more than 3 or 4 minutes to settle down.

I needed to get a cable signal to the TV in my kitchen and it was too far and inconvenient to run cable. I had the Wireless 3D A/V Transmitter and Receiver hooked up and working the same day I brought it home. I like the fact that I can use the cable box remote to change channels through the transmitter. The only problem is the volume for the kitchen TV doesn't work unless I turn the TV off and on. Other than that, it works well and the picture is clear.

I have another brand wireless transmitter that I never could fully synchronize the audio and video and would experience latency issues on fast moving scenes on movies. The video latency issue was the most bothersome. I have a Onkyo AV receiver and have all video inputs routed through the HDMI ports and allow for the video processor to upconvert to 1080P output that goes to the IO gear transmitter. The TV is located on another wall from the AV receiver that is about 20 feet away. The picture quality is excellent and the audio is synched to the video. The IO gear transmitter will automatically switch channels to achieve a better signal. It does go into a power save mode when no signal is detected. This delays the start up a few seconds while it syncs. My other unit stayed on all of the time. .Overall, I am quite pleased with this unit.

I used this to run HD cable signal and a ps4 to a tv I hung over the fireplace in my apartment. It worked great at minimizing unsightly cables hanging down my wall and supplies a terrific signal from about 15 feet away. There is no lag while playing any games on the ps4. Having two hdmi inputs on the base is very nice, and the reciever tucks nicely between my tv and the wall.
The only negatives are really only nitpicky. The picture comes through a little darker than an hdmi cable, but two notches up on the brightness to my tv and you wouldn't know. The other is that there doesn't appear to be a way to turn off the bright blue light on the base or reciever. This is unfortunate, but nothing a small piece of electrical tape couldn't fix.
Have had it running for a few months now with no issues and hope you have the same luck!

I am pleased with this purchase. This is the second IOGear unit I have purchased. The first was for use inside my house. The second is for a TV I use outside. I could not get a cable outlet to either place without substantial expense, so this was my next best option. Both units work well once linked, but it takes a bit more time to set up the outside TV. Also, the picture is not as sharp. Both of these issues are likely due to the extra distance between transmitter and receiver, which is right around 50 or so feet (it also has to go through the walls of my house). I do not use the repeater to change channels as it didn't seem to work that well on my inside unit. Overall I am pleased with the product. If you have a TV where you can't get a cable connection, this is a good alternative.

I needed to mount my new Epson 5030UB projector and did not want to run any video cables to it. This product worked as advertised and I was up and running in minutes. I then had another last minute need to run a remote monitor for a photo booth for a party and I was able to quickly use this box for that too! The fact that I could connect and select from 2 HDMI inputs was even better. The pass through made it easy to keep the local monitor running as well.

This a great solution to bulky media components and countless wires. I can't believe this isn't a standard in home media at this point. I was skeptical at first especial in terms of the quality of the picture it would transmit but overall I am extremely pleased with its performance. Although, more ports would be nice which is a option (of course at almost twice the price). I haven't had any disconnection issue that weren't easily resolved by a simple power cycle. However you do need to be mindful of where you place the transmitter and receiver, you may receive interference from the tv itself if place to close or behind. I use mine for an apple TV and PS4 and haven't notice any issues with either. Since it is wireless though its prone to not always peak performance much like wifi. Which brings me to the router issue. While I did have issues with my router and it battling against each other it was resolved by moving the transmitter and router to difference locations.
Only thing I would suggest is if you are looking to use more than two HDMI devices is to consider the 5x2 matrix for the extra money.

I purchased this wireless HDMI in order to add a TV closer to the Dining Room/Kitchen.. Prior, my security system DVR was hooked to a TV in the rear hallway... Lots of times, I had to go all the way back there to see what was going on outside...Maybe someone rang the doorbell or my secondary security system (2 Chihuahuas) went off... My home has vaulted ceilings with no crawl space in the attic. I decided to wall mount a TV without having to run a HDMI cable...That is where the IOGEAR wireless transmitter and receiver came into play...I was able to place the transmitter near the Security DVR and connect the local HDMI cable to the Monitor that had aways been there. The Receiver picked up the wireless signal and displayed the security cameras on the New TV I installed in the front part of the house... It has worked flawlessly since I installed it and I am very pleased with the ease of installation.. The total distance from the transmitter to the receiver is only about 30 feet, but the signal also passes through 3 standard walls ( 2x4 lumber and gypsum)... Performs exactly as advertised...
