Wish it could have a little more bass, because my music is a little weak, but overall an excellent buy.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For $70, Ion provides a lot of product, and is easily capable of handling voice calls and music, as well as being loud enough to carry those calls throughout a 400 sq ft room. The mic is where things break bad. Your voice will sound significantly worse than any built in mic you have available, and any setup that involves a standalone mic is unlikely to have a place for this device in it. Even recording voice memos in a quiet room, my voice sounded choppy and distant, and hard to hear. Expecting an <$100 device to have audio processing capable of making your voice sound better than a walk-in talkie while on a phone call (this device was used for a phone call and a discord voip call) is simply not something it is capable of, and I am unsure whether my expectations or the marketing is to blame. If your goal is an “improved speakerphone” look elsewhere: as a stand-alone Bluetooth speaker, other products are available at the same price with “hands free mics” tacked on as a bonus feature and those cannot be worse.

great mini sound bar under my monitor

It seems like it was perfectly designed for that. Great upgrade from my Mac Mini speakers. Conference calls are a bonus for me. Very easy set up. Looks much better than other mini soundbars on the market.
