I have 2 rock speakers for the backyard. I placed them near the pool and pergola. The sounds is really good with decent bass. These speakers can get pretty loud but if you turn the volume full blast you will get some distortion. The Bluetooth has reasonable range of 15ft give it take, before you start getting interference. I left them outside during AZ monsoon season and the speakers are still working without an issue. Make sure you place the speakers where they get direct sunlight. They’ve lasted me the whole day and night with a full charge. I think these speaker are great for outdoors. They look good and feel like they are made of good quality. Hope this review helps!

these are decent sounding speakers. certainly doesn't sound like my kl*psch home speakers. they do not have much bass...would be great if they made a subwoofer to go with these! sound seemed a little better and louder streaming pandora and spotify from iphone7 vs my old samsung s4. i have not plugged them in to charge them since the initial charge. but i do live in california wheres theres plenty of sun and they stay charged. no problems keeping them linked. solar panels are angled towards back of speaker which may make placing and hiding them a bit challenging for some people. cons: the rock isn't very realistic looking. led lights on back are faint in daylight but good at night. you have to power on each speaker individually.

The sound on these are perfect. We weren't looking for a top tier orchestra band sound, just something to be in the pool and hear some tunes. These have no problem connecting to the phones by bluetooth. The sound is pretty awesome for what we spent on these, loud enough to worry that we are disturbing the neighbors lol. The only complaint is that you can't turn them on by a remote. It's a pain to turn them on if you have them in a place that is hidden like we do. Wish there was a remote.

Great patio necessity. Loud enough for a small party. Turns itself off too quickly if you pause the music. Then the 'Power off' announcement screams too loudly. There is no adjustment for either issue.

We bought these while considering several other outdoor-ish speakers, namely the large Sony single speaker system. We ended up buying this because it is a true outdoor speaker. We bought two of these to place on each end of the patio. The sound is decent but it is not as crisp as I expected. When the volume is cranked all the way up, the speaker distorts somewhat, but the sound is loud enough for sure (just not great). We found that keeping them about half way up to 75% produces the optimal mix of quality and volume. While I wish they would not distort at full volume, these speakers are fantastic in that once they are charged and put out on the patio, you never have to charge them again. When we walk out on the patio, we turn on each speaker (takes 10 seconds) and the speakers connect automatically to my phone and we play music. When we are done we turn off the speaker, or just leave them be (they have an auto-shutoff). No need to bring them inside EVER! The Sony speaker required we bring it in every night in case of rain and store a big speaker somewhere in the house. These are small, they kinda look like a stone, the sound is decent enough, and they work well. I plan to built to a total of 6 speakers spread around the patio and the pool so that we can have great sound everywhere without having to play each speaker too loud. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the sound distorts at the high end. I will test with different kind of music and change my rating if it turns out that the speaker can handle most loud music.

I got four of these speakers, they keep a charge wonderfully, I first charge them with the plug and ever since they have been working with the sun! Love it! Sound quality is good but needs more bass. Blends well in garden area, very good at being water proof in the rain! Good product! Once you hook up to one speaker they all link together, they turn off on their own when not in use. Only bad thing is I have to turn each one on and if you have them in a difficult spot to reach that is a issue.

Seriously, I bought these on a whim, during a BOGO sale. I figured for less than a $100 for two speakers, why not take a risk? Simply put, I'm blown away at how well these work. They're not Bose or Klipsch, but they have amazing tone, especially at low volume which, I'm sure, was intended. They provide exceptional background music while sitting on back patio. They synch instantly to bluetooth, and range in superb when within 75 feet +/- off reach other and your music source (phone). The solar charging works great, too. Out of box, I fully charged batteries on AC and since then have yet to recharge. I live in AZ and don't have too many overcast days to deal with.

Speakers perform well. Solid construction. We use it with our cellphones so with the volume on our phones all the way up speakers do not distort. Plenty loud for their size. Only wish pairing range was better. We have 2 speakers and the distance between them is only about 20 feet and sometimes the non main speaker breaks up. Could Be because the main speaker is near our foundation. Moving them closer has helped. We also find that as the day goes on this increases which could be because the speakers battery is decreasing in power. Would definitely recommend. Would even consider buying a third speaker.

These are very nice outdoor speakers that you can set out and forget about. We charged them up before taking them outside and they have continued to work without needing to be charged again, so the solar system seems to be effective. The speakers sound good, but are nothing to write home about. They will, however, play very loudly with little or no distortion, so they certainly get the job done. All-in-all we are very happy with them.

These were so easy to connect. Theyre bluetooth. Once 1 speaker is connected to your phone (in my case), the other speaker connects to the 1st speaker. I think you can add about 10 speakers. Theyre also solar powered so you can have them playing all day outside. They sound great! Love them! I wish my backyard was bigger so I could add more,, but the 2 work just fine!

I liked these speakers so much I bought a 3 one. Sounds is very good and the solar charging works well. I have once had to plug in the first 2 a bought on one occasion. You will get hours and hours and hours of play time with solar charging. Set up could not be any easier.

I was a little sceptical of a solar charging outdoor speaker and just how long it would last or how it would sound. I was surprised that the thing gets pretty loud and sounds really good for a single speaker configuration. No it isn't your high end speaker, but for parties and ambient music around the yard it is great. Wish the charge peered it a little longer, but extremely pleased with the speaker. We have it connected to an Amazon Echo Dot via Bluetooth so we can control the volume with our phones. Definitely recommend.

I bought this for our patio area so we could bluetooth music off our phones. It works great! We've had it a month and it's been through some torrential rains and no problems. It seems to be getting enough sun to keep it charged too because since the initial charge it's worked great!

I bought this for the pool. I only charged it the first use. It last all day using solar power. It's loud, sounds great and very easy to pair with a Bluetooth device. I'm actually gonna buy a few more since they can link together .

This speaker is great. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and it is wonderful. Clear sound, connects easily, range is good, and I am able to use it inside or outside. It also holds a charge very well.

I purchased these so that we could listen to music out by the pool. Mind you, these aren't high end units, but I'm pleased with the sound quality out of the box as they are perfect for what we wanted them for. Since they're wireless, you can flex placement to meet your needs without running wire. Haven't really tested the batter longevity just yet, but I'm happy. Give'm a try.

For the size of it the speaker has a powerful sound punch, durable on all weather and the best thing you never have to charge it cause it's solar and you have options for plug in.

I bought this for my husband's birthday, it was easy to set up and sounds great. I love that it's solar powered because it will play all day long without being charged

Very cool speakers. The sound is great, the rock aesthetic believable and it’s ease of use unparalleled. It pairs with relative ease and the installed instructional voiceover proves itself useful for knowing just what task it is that the system is currently performing as there would be no other way of knowing this information as the system does not have any signal, status light or some other means of notification installed directly on it to otherwise apprise you of such things.

Ion does not make these anymore so beware. I love them and use them on a daily basis. I own 2 of them. One of the batteries did die and I was able to buy a replacement on eBay for around $30. They are great to sync up for great sound on the patio. They last a long time and run all day. I keep them in the sun to help recharge them. I do keep them out of the rain if heavy, but mostly leave them outside all the time. Overall I love them. And Bluetooth works perfect.
