Ip man 4 is a great movie, but sad if you know his story from the previous 3 movies.

Love all the IP Man movies, and now being able to watch them in 4k HDR makes me appreciate thse films even more. A win for sure.

Great movie 4k is where it's at 8k I could just imagine

This movie suffers from a couple of things. The thing that hurts it the most is it takes place in 1964. IP man is 71-72 in this timeline. He is old and it shows. They had to have a reason to make another movie and that was using bruce lee grown in America. He was technically old in the 3rd movie but the fighting was a lot better in the 3rd. The 4th had the weakest fight scenes and the least amount of the series. They are still above average in quality but arent as good as the first 3. The first 2 movies were action directed by sammo hung and the fight scenes were better in the first 2 movies. The first IP man is a masterpiece and in my opinion is the greatest martial arts movie of the 21st century. 2 is great. 3 is good. 4 didnt end with a bang but they really didnt have anywhere else to go with a story. IP man 4 is a high quality film but the weakest of the series. If you are a fan of the first 3, you will still like it.

Donnie Yen did a fantastic job once again. Even adding, his injury being a huge factor in his later fights. I've seen several reviews complaining it wasn't in English, get over it, and other's saying there were no subs, check the settings there are English subs, you have to adjust it. The flow of the film allowed you to really feel distinct emotions and truly draws you into the story. Loved it. Will be watching again and again.

If you are a IP Man fan or if you are curious about him, you cant go wrong with seeing all the Ip Man Movies. I was a bit worried how they were going to do the last movie. After watching it, I was happy to see that they did a good job with the story and action scenes of course. Also, how people were dealing with racism during that time period. Go get it, you wont be sorry.

After previously purchasing the Ip Man Trilogy, I had to own Ip Man 4. Coming from someone who doesn't usually enjoy martial arts films, the Ip Man films are great, and here the story comes to an end. Part 4 explores Ip Man's legacy and his relationship with Bruce Lee, while Ip Man travels to San Francisco to find a school for his son to attend, only to find himself up against the US Military. Great film, and a great bookend to the Ip Man Films. I highly recommend.

You shall never hate this film that Donnie Yen is in especially other series, too. Since you see people's complaints about language or subtitle.. they need to adjust and go to subtitle to change to English. Don't make a negative feedback on this review. If you're a big fan of Donnie Yen, then you wouldn't regret by watching it as you own this film by purchasing it.

Kung fu action at its best! A truly fitting ending to this quadrilogy movie series. Yes, this is every Kung fu master has a master. And Donnie Yen playing Ip Man, Bruce Lee’s teacher, is a performance of a career. Not to be missed in this end of chapter story which I found interesting as well as edge of the seat exciting.

The story of IP Man has finally come to the end. Story includes some of Bruce Lee's presence since it takes place in northern California where Bruce had his school. Ip Man was Bruce Lee's Master as the last 3 stories tell us. Exciting king fu fights as usual and the final story is well written. The movie was well directed and the cast was very professional..

Ip Man 4 was great @ capturing some of the significant historical events surrounding martial arts humble beginnings in the late 60's to early 70's. I was completely immersed in the movie's storyline which accurately captured Bruce Lee's close ties and relationship with his instructor (Ip Man), along with many of the challenges that Bruce Lee faced, even within his own Chinese martial arts community. The fighting sequences were great too. This was a highly entertaining movie and probably one of the best among the Ip Man series. 4.5 Stars ....... hlfjr :)

This whole series is worth checking out. One of my favorite martial arts movies of all time and this collection delivers. What makes Ip Man so likeable is how humble he is. Once you start with the first film, you'll want to binge the whole collection.

I’m a big fan Of Donny’s films , this movie maybe a little off from facts, but all the scenes with action were awesome, the 4K quality was good, and the sounds were excellent. I have all the Ip man movies, this was a good addition to my collection.

This movie is excellent... I thought that I was not able to see it during this pandemic, but thanks to best buy and his employees that were still providing an excellent service, I was not only able to buy the movie but i received it so fast and it great condition, that makes me buy a few more. Thank you

Big kung fu fan ip man 1 and 2 redefined the genre. 3 was a set back but still well choreographed. Four brings it back and steps it up fantastically. Still has the westerners suck and are single minded message but look past it. If your are a Bruce Lee fan his fight scene is the best in the movie.

Received my copy in pristine condition. It doesn’t come with a digital code unlike 99% of 4k blu rays but that was my fault for not reading the title properly. It is a great movie but personally Ip Man 1-3 are better. Still a great movie and a must watch, especially if you are a Kung Fu fan.

I have enjoyed every Ip Man film from 1-3 and the finale was a great way to end the franchise. Donnie Yen is one of the greatest martial artists that ever lived and he played the role of Bruce Lee's Grandmaster Yip Man perfectly! Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed!

Donnie Yen at his best in this final chapter. Actor who played Bruce was spot on. The villains do not hold back and is equally lethal. Comes in spoken Cantonese language for those that enjoy it. Hoping for chapter 5. Donnie is the best representation of Chinese wushu.

How did I miss this for so long? This is by far the best martial arts film produced. I purchased the entire series and they are all outstanding. There is more than just fighting...there are morals and standards that convey the zen of kung fu!

This film was a fitting end to the Ip Man series of movies. I enjoyed Donnie Yen’s portrayal of Ip Man and the supporting cast of characters was very complimentary as well.
