Story line is great and explains the history of the hero from earlier times on his life.

Excellent movie would recommend. Great price at Best Buy.

The language cannot be changed to English. There’s only English subtitles so you have to read them a the way through each episode. This sucks because sometimes it causes you to miss the actual show.

If you get this expecting to see the Ip Man movies with Donnie Yen then you will be sorely disappointed. This series is supposed to cover Ip Man's life from childhood onward and it does do that to some extent. The action is much slower and the plot-line at times is vague. I'm not sure how accurate the subtitles are either, but some of them seem pretty amusing. Overall this isn't a terrible series, just not close to what you would see in the movie version of his life. If you are a native Chinese speaker this may be more enjoyable as like I mentioned, the subtitles likely aren't accurate to the actual spoken dialogue.

I enjoyed the Trilogy of IP Man and took a gamble on this series. Glad I spent the money.

This long-awaited TV series finally comes to America. Nonstop action and a good story makes this a must see. The only downside to it is that it’s only in Mandarin, not English. If you like the IP Man movies, this is a must see.

I love all IP movies I have every last one. Every time one comes out I buy it.
