    iPhone repair not resolved in timely manner

    I brought my iphone in for inconsistent charging issues and was informed a new battery was the diagnosed issue. 2 things were not okay: 1) I left it to have battery replaced, I did not here from GS so I cld from my husband’s phone & they said they were trying to reach me using my phone number! (phone I left with them!). I told him I even left a different number when I called the squad and email address for contact but it was not used. 2) So When I went to check on the status of my phone, they then told me that the screen would not turn on so they would have to send it off to get looked at at the Apple store in either Houston or Oklahoma. They said it would take some time to get the paperwork together and I would be contacted to come in and sign documents to give authorization to send the phone off for repair. after four hours I did not hear from them so I called the geek squad and they said paperwork was not ready. it was then I decided to go back to the store pick up my phone and take it directly to the Apple store in San Antonio. I ended up paying $49 for a new battery put in by Geek Squad to my old phone but the entire phone had to be replaced by Apple store because they could not repair it. I don’t know what went wrong that the screen was not working after I took it in when it was working before and the only problem it had was that the charger was not charging very well but I had already purchased a new charger for my phone and just wanted to make sure that everything was working well that’s why I took it in the first place.

    Good batter replacement. Fixed up iPhone 8 battery in a timely manner. Had to go to the Best Buy repair store, but they did a great job.

    I've been a 20+ year Apple user, and under almost all circumstances would go to the Apple Store for service. Today I tried to get an appointment for an iPhone battery replacement, and when I went to the Apple Store online, I couldn't get an appointment until Friday! So, seeing that they also list Best Buy as a service center, I went to the Best Buy website, and got an appointment in one hour...certainly a lot better than Friday! I was a little skeptical, as I always associate the Geek Squad with being a "PC" team, but I arrived at the time of my appointment, dealt with Mike (Agent Nelson), and he took care of the battery replacement in less than an hour, which was his estimate of how long it would take. He was professional, friendly, and efficient in handling the case. And, the phone was returned to me in exactly the same, clean condition, as it was when I left it with them. I couldn't recommend both Mike, and the Geek Squad, any more highly, and would definitely return if I needed some sort of service again. I was very happily surprised. Thank you Mike!

    The Geek Squad team removed my bad iPhone battery successfully and installed the new one while I waited, keeping me up to date through the whole process.

    Geek Squad was very thorough and explained the process and how long it would take. Great service. Genuine Apple battery life drains slower than the knockoff batteries for the iPhone Xr l.

    after getting the run around at the apple store, came to BB to get replacement for my wife's phone. new battery works fine . made an appt online and checkin was prompt. only complaint is that they said the y would call when it was finished and they never did. probably wasted an extra hour at the mall waiting for them until i finally called in myself...

    This battery replacement worked wonders for my cell phone. I thought I may need to purchase an entire new phone but this battery took care of the problem. So relieved.

    Overall the Geek squad did a great job. The one issue was it took me a week to get that phone. Setting up an appointment was easy but then I had to wait an extra 2 days before I could pick up the phone. Because of scheduling issues. It would be great if they could fix that.

    Had my I Phone 6s Battery replaced by Best Buy Mid Rivers. Apple said they are a 3rd party authorized repair facility. I called Best Buy and received a same day appointment. Phone took about 1 hour to replace battery. Cost was $31 including tax. Great service, Friendly and very Knowledgeable. I dealt with a Agent Hill from the Geek Squad. He was by far the best customer service person I have dealt with for a LONG time

    The Geek squad was great. Tested the battery quickly. They determined I needed a new one. They explained everything in a language I could understand. They did the work in timely fashion. Definitely get your iPhone checked for an infected battery and definitely have the Geek Squad do it.

    Quick replacement

    Had my battery in my iPhone 6 replaced before the end of 2018 because the price of $29 instead of $79. Best Buy is now certified to work on Apple product so no need to drive to the Apple store. The battery replacement was quick and professional. It took about an hour to replace. I am glad I was able to get this done as the phone was running a bit slow. Plus I got it i. Before the price change.

    Geek Squad fit me in when the Apple Store would not respond, and didn’t have time. Dropped off my phone, and returned within an hour and my phone was back to running performant while lasting several days. Highly recommended.

    Needed a new battery for my old iPhone 6 and there was no apple store close by so Best Buy was gonna be it. They finished replacing the battery in about 30 minutes but told me 60 minutes just in case. Either way, it worked out for me. iPhone worked much better with new battery.

    Geek Squad is a joke!!!

    Very poor customer service! There was only ONE associate at the service area to help multiple people. I had made an appointment, but waited nearly 1/2 hour to even be acknowledged and, even after that the associate was trying to guide another employee (obviously a new trainee) while helping me! Ridiculous! Then when I came back to pick up my phone, I was told that they had stripped one of the small screws on the phone and were not able to open the phone. I was told I needed to take the phone to a repair facility, have the stripped screw removed, and come back!!!! (I should add that we were experiencing a severe thunderstorm at this time)! However, I DID as instructed, returned with the phone and was told that I could pick up the phone the following day at about 5:30 pm! And I’m now being asked for a review???? Well you have it!!!
