Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Braava jet 240 Robot Mop's cleaning performance and ease of use, frequently praising its quiet operation. However, some users note limitations in battery life, navigation in cluttered spaces, and area coverage, particularly in larger homes. The small size is mentioned as both a pro and a con, depending on the user's perspective and needs. Concerns were also raised regarding the lack of advanced mapping features.

This model works well. It cleans well and does what it claims to do. It is easy to set up and work. It can only hold enough water and charge to complete a small room before requiring refueling (water and battery charge). It takes a couple of hours to charge the battery. I would suggest getting the upgraded model, maybe it has longer span for battery and water reservoir.

This does a good job of mopping, but it does take a while. Might get a second battery pack as we have about 1500 sq ft of tile.

It’s easy to set up. Quietly and patiently mop the Kitchen floor. I would love that this little friend was faster but I Can turned on and move to other room so it’s not a real problem. I have enjoyed cleaner floors since I bought it. Love it

Overall- It does a decent job as expected. It is the entry level mop from iRobot. Pros- It cleans the solid floors so you don’t have too. Batteries can be changed out when one dies. It cleans about as good as you would with a mop, hence the name. Cons- it’s small. It takes a very long time to clean any room. I haven’t done much research on this but it appears that it lacks the necessary sensors that our iRobot vacuum has so it hits everything multiple times. It’s probably 8 inches wide and moves very slow. It mops and the head moves a little but it really doesn’t scrub the floors. Tip- buy the reusable pads online by a no-name manufacturer.

Makes mopping easy. Sweeps to. Has several cleaning pads you can use. I wish it had Alexa integration so I could send it out when no ones home. It doesn't have a base station so you have to recharge it yourself. Its a lot smaller than I thought

I have over 1,000 sf 1st floor with tiles. This little thing can mop one of 3 areas a charge time, with some overlapped areas. I use it in the morning before I go to work and do it again in the evening (after charged right after work), then charge it again for the morning route. So it will take 1.5 day for a full 1st floor mopping. But since I didn't do more than 5 minutes work a day to clean the reusable cloth, recharge the battery and fill the water tank, I have no complain. I will steam mop the floor once a month on top of it but I think it's very good for daily maintenance.

Not an I-Robot but does the job. Sometimes gets lost but it mops and picks up dust. Takes lot of time to complete but if you are willing to wait it was worth it

I purchased this mop because they own and I robot Roomba vacuum and I was hoping to get a map that matched it's cleaning quality. Unfortunately this mark just takes too long to get the job done and the battery glass only 200 square feet. It can't be controlled from your phone like most of the iRobot products but it did leave my floors pretty spotless just feel like there's better products out there for the price so I had to swap for something with more muscle,

I love my little Robot mop. I named him Elroy, after the Jetsons. I used him for my small kitchen and two bathrooms and he was just perfect. BUT I now have vinyl flooring throughout the whole house, and for him to do all that, I have to probably move him around and fill him 4 or so times. Not a fault with the mop, but if you have a larger house you will need the bigger size up.

    Perfect for a bathroom floor

This mop did an awesome job in my bathroom, I'd say it excels at that size of a job. It can get into small corners and it pays attention to the edges. Yay mop! My kitchen was another story. The water tank doesn't hold enough to do the entire kitchen, and you have to watch the unit because it doesn't alert or stop when it runs out of water. The "virtual wall" feature is a great idea but don't count on it... a few times the mop ventured into the wrong territory. I have dark floors which might be confusing the sensors, because it has a very erratic pattern and misses sections of the room. The disposable pads also leave white streaks of detergent on the dark floor. (My kitchen is medium sized, floor space is about 8x12. It also can be pretty hard on the baseboards and does not have any bumper pads. Again, perfect for a bathroom sized job, but I'll be using another kind of mop in my kitchen.

Grabbed the 380t and then later this 240 to clean smaller areas. Mainly using it right now to clean the floor mats that we put down for our baby moves around (she started crawling). Cleaned them very well and then we also tried on the tile floor. Would not recommend this for a larger area as we used it to clean a bigger area later and it took forever and also had to be recharged to finish the area. Does feel like it cleans much better then the 380t though.

I've had the robot mop for a few weeks now, using it weekly. I recommend getting the iRobot cleaner - just a couple capfuls and it makes a huge difference. Also recommend getting washable pads - they do a better job than the disposables. I wish it held more water, like enough that you didn't have to refill it before it ran out of charge. Overall I am happy with the mopping, although I feel I have to keep an eye on it. Priced right, good product. Very easy to use

I like the robot a lot my only dislike is the irobot walls don't work for this device, so you have to create a physical barrier to keep it in the area that you want it to clean.

It can leave streak marks, meaning it doesn't clean as well as I expected. It does do the job though, but I was expecting it to be better. It replaces swifting in between mopping every other week. I was hoping it would replace mopping instead....hahaha. I guess I had high hopes for this one. It's not bad, but just not for me. I've read about other people in which it worked just fine for what they wanted. I would suggest buying it and testing it out to see if it is what you wanted. To each their own.

We just installed a wood laminated floor in about 70% of the house and bought a Roomba to clean the loose stuff and the Braava to clean the tough stains and sticky stuff. Have had very good results with the moist and dry pads but poor experience with the wet pads - iRobot engineers note that it needs more refining . We run the Roomba about twice a week and the Braava comes out about once every two weeks. Still learning how to use virtual walls.

I love this little thing! My 2 pups are constantly bringing in dirt so I thought a robot mop might be the answer. After checking reviews online this is the one I settled on. First of all, it is very small. I was surprised and a little worried. It's easy to set up and I have a huge room that it cleaned well, The water in the tank lasted and so did the battery. You just put the battery in a wall charger for the next time. Oh, and its a hard little worker. It scrubbed and scrubbed and the floors were very clean. I use it at least once a week, and more if needed. A great purchase for me. I recommend it.

Great little robot for small floors

We picked up this unit to do regular mopping on our hardwood kitchen floors (about a 12 x 15 area). The device operates exactly as promised, with intelligent navigation and coverage at least equal to that specified. I've found it to do a good job working around obstacles and getting close in under cabinets and along walls. The "damp" mode operates faster than "wet" mode as the latter will go back over the same section a few times, but both do a reasonable job. The one-time use pads are not overpriced, but by definition not super economical. Fortunately there's a re-usable option you can purchase and wash in between sessions. The small size of the unit and the ability to easily charge the battery in a compact charger that plugs directly into a regular wall socket are both a plus - no need to find room on the floor for a dock style charger. The only issue I've run into is that sometimes the unit will get a little turned around if it cleans under a cabinet (or in our cash dishwasher door) which is low enough to put some pressure on the top as it goes underneath. The impact is minor and it doesn't prevent it from covering the entire area. Overall I find this little guy to be a pretty decent compromise of price, size, convenience, and performance. It won't prevent you from having to manually mop every so often, but will reduce the frequency and keep things looking good in between.
