Customers are impressed with the Braava jet 240 Robot Mop's cleaning performance and ease of use, frequently praising its quiet operation. However, some users note limitations in battery life, navigation in cluttered spaces, and area coverage, particularly in larger homes. The small size is mentioned as both a pro and a con, depending on the user's perspective and needs. Concerns were also raised regarding the lack of advanced mapping features.

After about 15 years, it was time to retire my first-generation Rhoomba vacuum cleaner and get a replacement.
I shouldn't have been surprised to see how technology has improved on robotic cleaners.
The Braava jet 240 is a quarter of the Rhoomba's size, but does the same job, and it also mops, which my Rhoomba didn't.
Oh, and it's about a tenth as quiet.
The only issue I've had was when I tried to use it on a solid green plank floor. For some reason, its sensors would not work, and it would stop after about a minute of working.

It’s basically an automated Swiffer Jet. You’re still going to have to sweep or mop but this robot will help you skip a week or two for simple cleaning. Love getting home and just letting it do it’s thing. It truly sweeps and gathers most of the dirt. Can’t go wrong for the price, maybe not the smartest but it’s simple and efficient.

The Irobot works good as long as you start with a somewhat clean floor. Blue pad are a must.

Let me begin by saying I purchased this with higher hopes even though all the reviews were not 5 stars. This machine is okay for upkeep in small areas. Its battery does actually last a lot longer than I expected (2 hrs. for mine), which is great for larger areas. The problem is, it works just like a swifter or maybe even less. I had to run it in the kitchen three times, before I saw a difference. It was not even picking up small smudges. I have learned the cleaning pad does not clean per say, so I spray floor cleaner over the floors first which helps soak the ground for dirt pick up. I will be purchasing the reusable pads today, hopefully that will save on cost. 3 stars is for the battery life and fact that I can do other chores while this is working.

I’m pleasantly surprised by how well this robot works! It doesn’t have the mapping nor the docking features of the more expensive model. However, the robot cleaned the entire exposed floor area of my two bedroom apartment and typically didn’t get stuck! For how much cheaper it is... If you don’t have a large space and don’t need the additional smarts of the m6, this is the way to go.

I love Irobot designs. The only problem with the jet 240 is that it doesn't come with a dock. Hence, the user has to manually charge the batteries. However, everything works great and my floors are sparkling clean. I love it!

I love this little guy. Obviously, it isn't the newest model but for the price, I'm happy with it! You can get washable cleaning pads so you don't have to keep buying them. There is a cleaner you can put inside the Braava or use water. it doesn't do a deep dive clean, it mostly is a surface only clean (grout doesn't get super clean). But it lifts up dirt and does the job! Only downfall is it's really really slow and you have to kind of monitor it so it doesn't get stuck but you get used to it.

This thing is great for mopping areas you either don’t want to clean or are busy with other things. You just take it out fill with water, attach the mop pad, adjust the water level spray on the iRobot app then send it away! It does do a decent job at cleaning. Just know it can remove stains that would require vigorous scrubbing but it removes just about anything from daily dirt, stains and spills. It can take a while to clean a whole room so be sure to have something to do hahah. The battery last a good while but this unit isn’t meant to clean bigger jobs than cleaning a kitchen or large bathroom. Overall good product for someone that wants a little help mopping areas.

Owned this bot for 2weeks. I have super shiny hardwood through out most my house, thought this would be perfect. It was not. The bot left water spots all over the floor. I had to go back and finish the job. Bot also is smaller so it couldn’t do a complete floor w/o running out of water. I returned it.

I got this for my wife for Christmas. Its fairly simple to operate as my 13 year old took it and used it to clean the bathroom floor. I wasn't sure how well it would do, but it definitely made the floor nice and clean

Braava jet 240 doses a way more respectable business that I was doing with my swiffer and swifter wet jet mop. The ability to connect to the Roomba App which added some neat features!
I was genuinely impressed with this Roomba. This is my first mopping robot, but I'm currently on my 5th Roomba vacuum!
The technology is leaps and bounds what it was only a few years ago!
This Mopping Roomba has built-in "virtual wall" scene and a few other unexpected amazing tech considering the cost!
Braava jet 240 is serious about its occupation as a mopping robot!
Some advice: Your first order, once you register the robot, You get 15% off your first order of mopping pads, etc. & free shopping from iRobot.com. Stock up!
Go on Amazon and purchase an extra large battery for under $20; Braava will mop for up to 120 minutes!!! WORTH IT!
I would purchase it again and probably will as a gift for my Mother!

My wife wanted to try it out so we tried it out. Great call! Easy to set up and operate. Performs as described. We use it to clean the kitchen tile floor at least twice per week and it always cleans well.

The AI in this device needs to work.

When it has a clear, square/rectangular area to clean, this device works fine. However, I have never had it successfully finish and return to it's starting position. I have been unsuccessful at getting it to recognize any virtual wall I set, either. We use it once a week on hardwood floor, and it does a great job cleaning the surfaces; however, it does not seem to keep track of where it has been. It is either OCD-level thorough or just simply cannot seem to keep an internal map. 100% of the time, it just keeps mopping until the battery runs out, on areas that are clearly within its 150sq ft range. The concept is great but the AI needs work.

Bought this for my hardwood floors in my kitchen area, as it's a high traffic area and got tired of the constant cleaning. Great battery life, with smart phone app that lets you control of the water it releases, batter life and can be linked with Google Home. Only wish it came with the reususable mop pads, not the ones you use and throw away.

Compared to its bigger brother you want to get this machine if you are looking to keep your floors mopped. Pads are easy to find. Did a great job and served well: then one day it died. I am so glad that I had the Geek Squad Replacement Warranty on this machine.
It really does a great job!

I bought this model and decided to keep it for a second home, but ended up buying the upgraded model M6 for primary residence due to better features. The upgraded model of course costs almost twice as much. This mops decently, but it seems to use a lot of water in a short time, so I was constantly refilling. It is also smaller than the upgraded model.

Been pleased with my experience with the 240. Cleans well but if you have hard stains this will do a good job at removing most of it but you will need to follow up and remove the very tough stains.
Does a very good job of cleaning small rooms and it will go back to clean up the areas that it missed if there was an obstacle in the way (most of the time). It does a good job of knowing when it has reached a border (into a another room for example) and tries to keep cleaning within the same room but will sometimes leave. You can fix this by cleaning in "virtual wall" mode and it then knows not to leave the room.
Depending on what pads you use, make sure that once the pad is soaked to replace it or this will leave water stains and streaks on your surfaces. I lowered the amount of solution to spray in the app so that it can clean a little longer using the damp or wet pads.
I made the mistake of just using water without the iRobot cleaning solution. Don't do that and make sure to buy the solution! According to their documentation you can ONLY use their solution and not any other floor cleaners.
