I recently welcomed the iRobot Roomba into my home, and it has completely transformed the way I approach cleaning. Here's why I'm singing its praises: Efficiency and Precision: The Roomba's cleaning efficiency is nothing short of remarkable. Equipped with smart sensors, it effortlessly navigates through rooms, intelligently avoiding obstacles while reaching every nook and cranny. Its precision in picking up dirt, debris, and pet hair is impressive, leaving floors spotless. Ease of Use: Setting up and using the Roomba is a breeze. With just a push of a button or a simple command through the app, it starts its cleaning journey. The intuitive design of the app allows for scheduling and monitoring cleaning sessions from anywhere, adding a layer of convenience to my daily routine. Adaptability to Different Surfaces: Whether it's hardwood, carpet, or tiles, the Roomba seamlessly transitions between surfaces, adjusting its cleaning methods accordingly. The dual rubber brushes do an excellent job of loosening and lifting dirt, while the high-efficiency filter ensures that even allergens are captured. Smart Home Integration: The Roomba's integration with smart home devices is a game-changer. I can initiate cleaning sessions through voice commands with my virtual assistant or seamlessly integrate it into my smart home routines. This level of connectivity adds a futuristic touch to the cleaning process. Battery Life and Self-Charging: The Roomba's battery life is commendable. It can cover a significant area on a single charge, and the best part is that it knows when it needs a recharge. The self-charging feature is a lifesaver, ensuring that the Roomba is always ready to tackle the next cleaning session. Conclusion: In conclusion, the iRobot Roomba has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its cutting-edge technology, user-friendly interface, and adaptability make it a standout in the world of robotic vacuums. While the initial investment might seem substantial, the time and effort it saves make it worth every penny. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 - A revolutionary addition to home cleaning.

It's perfect if you are looking a vacumm with a great price, makes the job, and it's easy to clean. After 1 and a half months of use, i just found a couple of cons, but also found solutions for it, the first one its that doesn't support mapping, so you can't tell it to go to a specific zone in the house, but you can solved moving the robot directly to the zone you want to clean and close the doors so he will clean only in that room, or let everything open if you want to clear everywhere; the second one its about WiFi connection, sometimes disconnect by itself from WiFi so stop working with the app, but i just reconnect and take me about 2-3 mins. In overall, if you are looking for something cheaper to prove this kind of vacuums without expense a lot, this is your product. Isn't perfect, but makes the job.

This is great for a small 1200 sq ft home like mine. It is the bump & go style with a random pattern, and really has great suction. It travels over the area rug with ease from from the LVP flooring. If my home was larger I’d upgrade to a programable version that would vacuum in straight lines.

It cleans up a lot of unseen dirt. We have a dining room rug that’s probably about 0.5/1 inch in height and it cannot get over this rug so we unfortunately have that area blocked off in the dining room or else it will get stuck during it’s independent vacuuming every time. We had a brand vacuum like this before and it vacuumed right over this rug but its battery was not good. We have an iRobot mop as well and it’s great everywhere.

    Aggressive little machine

So far so good. My wife and live in a studio apartment that is roughly 500 square feet with our black lab and tuxedo cat. It is safe to assume that the pet hair in our place is a constant battle which has been greatly alleviated by this Roomba. I’ll start off by listing some pros. It does a pretty adequate job on hard wood floor and picks up most of the hair left by our pets. It seems to navigate around obstacles fairly well and keeps from getting stuck too often. Now for the cons. As this little device navigates through our place with little rhyme or reason it bashes into our stuff pretty aggressively. It doesn’t seem to damage anything but I believe is a worthy mention. The typical run time to clean our place is 1 1/2 hours which is a bit excessive considering we don’t let it into our room (carpeted). The bash sensor is seeing visible wear already due to how aggressive it is but doesn’t seem to affect operation, just kind of ugly looking. All in all I am pleased with this purchase and do not regret it. Absolutely helps out with our pets and I enjoy the fact that I do not have to be home and I can arrive with acceptably clean floors. May be worth while to invest in the higher tech version if you have really nice furniture.

After using the iRoomba for an about 4months, I must say it’s worth the amount of money I spent on it. It makes my life a lot easier and it picks up a lot of hair that’s often on the floor. I love the fact that it works with Alexa and I’m able to sync up a routine for it to work everyday so I come back to a clean apartment. One of the downsides that I’ve noted is that it gets stuck in nooks and crannies and It stops there and shows an error. It requires a large space with often rectangular or square areas to work through. Another drawback, is that it gets stuck onto wires and small pieces of clothing if left on the floor. But I was able to work around it by remember not to leave my wires and keep my space more organized.

It was the best purchase I ever made, I have a dog at home, before the Roomba I had to vaccum every day because of the hair and now I don't need to do that anymore, when I get home everything is ready because I control it through my telephone.

People always ask and I asked the same question does it actually work though does it actually clean the floors? And yes it does. It can't get into like the smallest nook and crannies along the corners of things because it's circular but if you just let it do its thing and forget about it and come back a while later it does clean up the floors. And you can check and it's compartment you empty out and it's always full. Pretty simple to set up and if it runs into something like an edge where it will fall it stops or something that pushes it upwards it stops and you just have to move it.

Impressive little machine that’s efficient in traversing hardwood to carpet - keeps floors free from pet hair and dirt, using little energy charging at 24 watts and easy servicing of brushes and dirt holding compartment. I like the way it leaves my bedroom carpet looking freshly vacuumed with no footprints!

The best vacuum to buy in 2024

If you don't have time to regularly sweep or vacuum, robot vacuums are an easy way to ensure your home stays clean without needing to do all the work. Since they use technology like lasers or cameras to navigate and maneuver around a room, they can avoid furniture and get beneath couches and tables relatively easily. Some of the best automatic vacuums can self-empty their dirt compartments, reducing the work you need to do. Although they aren't as good at cleaning carpet as more traditional upright vacuums, many come with smart pathing technology to clean more efficiently. Many also come with companion apps or remote controls to set up scheduled cleaning times or place boundaries to keep it out of certain areas.

Great Entry Level Roomba, Dont Expect Much

Before i start I will do a shorter list form review then I will go into detail. Pros -Wifi Connectivity -great suction -modern design -easy to use -app easy to navigate Cons -gets stuck or scratched on furniture -no mapping unlike the more expensive ones -ok with pet hair will probably struggle if your pets have long fur I had the roomba e5 before this one and they are almost identical in every way, the only big difference is that the e5 has 2 rubber brushes which helps with long pet hairs. Also the e5 did not have mapping just like this one. One more thing to note is the house I currently live in does not have carpet and it mostly consists of hardwood floor and tile. All right now let me start by saying that the Roomba 694 is the top entry level roomba. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles the other higher end roombas do, and it is understandable for the price point. I will also say I would recommend this more to either someone who doesn't have much furniture in their house, has a smaller house, or an older person who does not know much about technology. Let me explain why. The sensors on the Roomba 694 will activate when they hit something, sometimes it will try to avoid doing this, and also it doesn't have any sensors up top. Meaning that it will bounce around your walls and furniture until it learns its way around them. There is also one big issue that I have, I even had this same issue with my other roomba, and that is that the roomba will get stuck or will get scratched with furniture that is about 4 inches off the floor. I would recommend checking if you have a lot of furniture that fits this description before buying any of the entry level roombas including this one, and if you do, I would recommend getting one of the higher end ones. Now the cleaning sensors are good and will keep your floors clean, but i would say it works best for smaller spaces. This is where the mapping and learning features on the higher end models come in handy. I used to live in a bigger house before, and the e5 I used to have did not have the mapping feature, which sometimes would either make the roomba stay in a single room until it ran out of battery, or bounce around the rooms but not clean them thoroughly. What the mapping feature does along with the AI, is that it learns where the places with the most traffic are and prioritizes them over something like an empty room. So if you have a bigger house I would recommend you getting one of the higher end models. Now for someone young, the app and the features it offers is easy to learn, but for someone who is older or someone who has difficulty learning technology, they will have a harder time learning the ins and outs. The app is pretty straight forward, there is a start option, schedule, and history tab along with videos that will show you how to maintain the machine. Honestly there is not much too it, i will say the hardest part is setting up the device to work with the wifi. At the end it might sound like I am unhappy with the machine, but on the contrary, I am very pleased because it meets all my needs. The only reason why my review sounds like a caution label is because I want to help whoever is looking to buy a roomba buy the right one. These vacuums are really good the thing is that you gotta find the right one for you.

I have had a robot vacuum in the past that I loved, but it finally broke. This one was supposed to replace it, but it had no redeeming qualities. For one thing, it never got near any edges. Also, it was like watching a pinball because of its sporadic behavior. It didn't make nice lines like most robot vacuums do – it looked more like a toddler had pushed a toy in a bunch of different directions. (notice the photo). There were many places that it just randomly skipped. It also did not pick up much off of the carpet, and after it thought it was done, there was still debris.
