    Pretty Good

We bought this to help vacuuming with our dog that seems to constantly be shedding. the first few times we ran it it filled up rather quickly (would have to empty it twice before it was done with the room). Now it can complete the room before we need to empty it. It is rather loud, so we don't run it at night - we set it to run every other day at 11am while we're at work. Its gotten stuck a few times under the dining room table and sometimes we find it didnt make its way back to the charrger. This doesn't replace having vacuuming, but extends the time between me having to vacuum, which I like.

This vacuum is definitely a must have. I have used it on hardwood and carpet and it chews through both jobs with ease. Our three dogs shed year round and this thing keeps our floors clean as we set it to vacuum daily. It does require emptying every day but that's because three large dogs shed a lot every day. Maintenance on this thing is also stupid simple and has included custom tools for cleaning bush heads and such that make it even easier. The vacuum is also extremely smart and thorough. Highly recommend this product!

    Stuck in the Same Place

This machine does a great job where it goes, but it takes forever to cover our large open floor plan because it goes over the same places an unreasonable number of times. It's dust bin fills up 5-6 times in an hour of running. It always seems to go first to the same areas. It gets obsessed with vacuuming the heck out of our living area rug. The vacuum mechanism is good, the navigation leaves something to be desired. Helps keep things looking better during the week, but still need to follow behind with a conventional vacuum once on the weekend.

I love my roomba! he gets himself stuck sometimes under chairs or he shuts himself in a room But other than that he's great I just come home and empty him and he's ready to go out again the next day. I have wood floors mostly and a few rooms with carpet he does great on both and does a nice job on the edges.

This is my second Roomba (first one died after years of use). Cleans very well, goes over thresholds well. There are lots of upgrades from past models that would've been worth the investment even if My other one didn't die - it is easy to clean out, slows down before bumping walls, and goes over the same area several time when needed. I have 3 kids and 5 pets = 3 cats, a dog, and this Roomba!

    Can't Live without it

I don't know how I lived without the Roomba before. I absolutely love this machine. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats so needless to say there is always pet hair around. I used to swiffer daily but would still have the rolling balls of fur go by. With the Roomba I don't have this problem anymore. I love that I can program it and it tucks nicely under my hall tree so out the way. I have it set to clean while we sleep so it does not bother anyone. It comes with great cleaning tools to cut away the hair that gets caught around the brushes and even works great on my upright that I use upstairs. I use my Roomba for my downstairs as it is all tile. It picks up everything, hair, litter, light dust, food crumbs... I empty the bin that it has every other day. And remove the brushes every 3-4 days. It does require a little maintenance with removing the hair that can get wrapped around the brushes but no different than an upright. It is very easy to clean all brushes and wheels are removable. Easy to program. It is a little pricey but worth every penny.

    Must have for pet owners

I'll start by saying I have all hardwood and tile floors upstairs and a wire-haired terrier mix that sheds a LOT of fine little white hairs. If you are thinking about getting this Roomba for this same reason you ABSOLUTELY should buy this. The Roomba has no problem going under couches and beds that can be very hard to get to with a vacuum or broom. Immediately open opening I ran this thing 3 times in 16 hours and it was completely full of dog hair even though I had just vacuumed the floors a couple of hours earlier. Descriptions for the Roombas may lead you to believe that this device will only clean 3 rooms, completely untrue. After a few cycles this Roomba has figured out the whole layout of my main floor. On occasion it does not make it into the master bedroom but I just pick up the Roomba and place it in there and it does the job. If you have hardwood floors and are used to dirt or pet hair sticking to your feet when you walk around I strongly encourage you to get this!

I am very happy with my Roomba. I would strongly recommend this to anyone with pets and hardwood floors. However, be aware that it is not very good on carpeting because it clogs up the brushes quickly, and if you leave the pet toys on the floor, it will eat the smaller stringy ones and get jammed. It's not perfect, but under the right conditions it is a HUGE labor saver. Whats also cool is that if a part breaks down, the iRobot folks designed the Roomba with parts that can be removed in segments and easily replaced with new parts. So even though the parts do wear down and break, they are very easy for anyone to replace without having to pay a fortune to a repairman. All you need is a small screwdriver and you can replace any broken part. So despite a few shortcomings, I am VERY happy to have purchased this item. If your house is like mine (5 shedding pets and hardwood floors everywhere) then this is a miracle machine that you must own.

I am in and out of my house throughout the day and do not have much time to keep up with my floors. This machine is amazing! I can set it up to start automatically and does an amazing job. The only two issues I have had is that it is not supposed to get tangled with cords, but it did try to eat an iPod cord. The second is that it does get stuck in places on occasion. Still, the benefits far outweigh the few issues I have had.

    Rosie the Roomba A++++

I love my Roomba! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!! She is the bet thing since sliced bread! I have even "tested" here by spreading pieces of packing peanuts all over the house and she picked them all up! I have come home to her stuck twice, both of which were my fault, one was a chair that she could only get under if she aligned herself perfectly and could not get out after the fact, and another time I left a small TV cable on the ground (we are still unpacking from a move) other than that she is at her home base every evening when I get home. Although with the wire instance I was so happy to find that as soon as she found herself in trouble she turned off to prevent damage. Overall between my long hair and the dog (a lab mix) she keeps everything very clean, we can walk around WITHOUT SOCKS ON, she runs once a day when we are not home and I am amazed what I dump into the trashcan every night... pretty gross. I read a lot of reviews about the Roomba and cleaning it, Rosie gets a cleaning every 5-7 days and I can see where if you didn't take it apart and clean it every week you would have problems (especially if your a girl with long hair and shed like I do) so I do recommend a weekly cleaning but other than that empting out the tray once a day is SOOO much better than running a vacuum myself every other day. Planning on eventually getting another on for the second story of the house

This is my second iRobot. The first one is going to my basement area. This is, in my estimation, the best vacuum out there. I love the fact that it does the work for you. Just push a button and walk away. It also does a fantastic job, it gets under my furniture, it gets in the corners, and I am amazed at the amount of dirt in the canister. I highly recommend this vacuum.

The Roomba is a great product cleaning the floors while I'm away. The scheduling feature is perfect and the two lasers to keep it confined are perfect. I really want to give it 4.5 stars since it isn't perfect when cleaning, but this definitely helps a lot. I'm always surprised when I come home and empty out the bin. I never knew how much dust/dirt is around the house.

I bought this for my Mom for Christmas and she loves it. The Roomba does a wonderful job picking up dirt (my parents live on a farm) as well as dog hair from the two dogs that live inside. I plan to buy one for myself.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my Roomba. It's amazing how long it will go before it returns to it dock station to recharge. It does a great job picking up pet hair. The only complaint I might have is having to hunt for it if for some reason it stops (when it gets trapped, catches on something or needs cleaning). It tells you if it stops but if you don't hear the warning then you have to search the house for it.

We have 2 dogs and hardwood floors. Even after vacuuming they would be hairy within a few hours. With the Roomba we run it in the evenings when we are home (one dog doesn't like vacuums and would eat it unsupervised). It's done a great job on cutting down on the amount of dust/hair on the floors. It won't replace a full-size vacuum but it sure does help!

We purchased the Roomba for a new home that has wood and tile floors throughout the main level, roughly 2000sqft. We also have two dogs that tend to shed. The floors are dark in color and we wanted something to maintain the dog hair and dust on a daily basis. The Roomba does a great job of daily cleaning. You just have to make sure you keep things picked up as it will sometimes get stuck on something.

I got this after installing laminate flooring. It does great for sweeping up dust and really small things my kids drop. Anything fruit loop size or bigger it just pushes around. Does great and covers the entire area. I take it upstairs after it cleans downstairs and lasts for a while on 1 battery.

We love our Roomba vacuum. Our house is mostly tile and stained concrete, so the Roomba is a big help when it comes to keeping the floors clean. You will be surprised by the amount of dirt the Roomba picks up. Overall, it is simple to use. Read the directions, press start & let it clean away!

We've been surprised with all of the dirt, lint and dog hair this little guy picks up each time. We set it to run every day with a black lab in the house. Runs great once we've learned to get cords and vining plants out of his way on the floor. One of the best presents I bought my wife.

We've been running our Roomba nearly every day since we got it a few months back. I have glowing admiration for the efficiency in which it cleans, You set it going and let it roam around. But, there are a few downfalls. First, it doesn't seem to have much situational awareness, it goes until it runs into something and turns, if it runs into something lower than the front bumper it may overturn trying to run over it. The bin is very small, but running it every day doesn't seem to fill it up, I am hoping it is because the Roomba is keeping up with the dust, debris, and pet hair that accumulates in our home. Out of the many weeks we have been running the Roomba every day, it has only gotten lost 3 times, I consider this a pro. Over all, my experience with this device is great.
