It does a good general cleaning. Easy to run and cleans well. I have one for upstairs and one for the main floor. That way we don't have to carry it from one floor to the other

We have 2 small dogs, so there's hair on the floor. The Rumba cleans up the hair & anything else on the floor. We do not have carpet, so I can't say how it would work there, but on our wood floors, this does an superb job. I am so happy with it, just turn it on & away it goes cleaning up whatever is there. The only negative that I have, is the collector isn't very big, but that's not a deal breaker.

I've had been reviewing and contemplating purchasing a Roomba for about 1.5 years. I finally broke down and bought one as I find the extra time I do have very valuable. It does a great job at picking up dog food, dog hair, dirt and crumbs! Of course, it has done as good a job as my dyson vaccum cleaner did before it expired. It can go over rugs without any problems! It bumps into furniture, but has not caused any damage to the wood.

We absolutely love this vacuum. We had been on the fence for a while if we wanted to splurge and get this and finally decided to take the plunge, and we are glad we did. This picks up dirt as much as our upright did and with this one we can be lazy and hit start and do other things while it does it's job. The only negative I have is the bin isn't that big and we have to stop it several times to empty it out. But hopefully pretty soon we can schedule it to clean everyday and with the everyday clean it will last through the whole house before it needs to be emptied.

Have 3000+ sf house and Roomba does it all...impeccably! Haven't used my built in house vacuum in the 2 months i have owned the Roomba except to do draperies and light fixtures. Have all tile floors, non-shedding pets--and running the Roomba every few days keeps my floors SPOTless. I regularly clean and inspect bin, filters and brushes--minor sacrifice to avoid hours per week of standard vacuuming...PLUS it gets under sofas, chairs and furniture that was a pain to do with standard vacuum!

This is the best purchase I have made! Set the scheduled timer and it goes by itself and it even gets all the let hair that my old vacuum left behind!

I have a cat and dog that shed entirely way too much! The roomba keeps me from sweeping everyday. I now just vacuum maybe one every two weeks. We have almost all tile and it works beautifully. Its perfect for the busy person who doesn't have the time to sweep/vacuum every other day!

I love my roomba! I bought the 770 Roomba. Tried the 870 first, a very good and quieter version, but the 870 could not handle our thicker carpets, so I took it back and exchanged it for the 770. With the 770 I am very happy! It has no problems with the thicker carpets. It really works better than regular, expensive vacuums! It saves me so much time! Absolutely great little helper. Compared to older models it can go back and forth when it detects dirt, has HEPA filters, slows down when approaching furniture, touches gently. I can only recommend it, would not want to be without it.

Roomba 770 does a pretty good job overall! The filters are located in the dustbin and are very small. Of course, they have to be cleaned every time which I would expect. The remote works in a weird way. When you push the button in the direction you want it to go, it pauses and waits for you to push the button again. I thought it was faulty but was told by customer service that it is operating correctly. I find it easier just to stop the robot, pick it up and turn it to the direction I want it to go. This is my first experience with a iRobot vacuum. It really does save me lots of steps and time.

well its a robot, sometimes it get stuck time to time you gotta be there to help, unless your place is pretty empty or roomy. its smaller than regular vacuum, so you dont have to worry about storage. for me its great item to purchase, since now I dont need to vacuum anymore. well maybe I might need to do a good regular vacuum once a month, since this robot and its kinda small, cant really see anything on my carpet if its still dirty or not, but at least im not seeing anything.

Here is the scoop. I am one that is not a huge fan of cats and well my roommate has 2 of them. Since I am a bit of a clean freak and don't have the time to do it it myself I happened to get this little sucker during the holidays for a good buy. Set up it pretty simple, plug it in, set up the schedule and you are off to go. Johnny 6 keeps the house clean, the Hepa filters keep the air a little cleaner and my nose seems to not want to die. The basket gets cleaned out every other day along with the filters and the brushes get wiped down once a week as well.

I researched two different machines. I decided on the "other," more expensive brand, but after just a couple of uses, I boxed the "other" machine up and returned it to the store. Then I went to Best Buy and purchased the Robot- Roomba 770. Best decision ever. It vacuums both my wood floors and carpet. I love my iRobot.

The 770 is great for a one level house. I can turn it in and then go run errands, and when I come back my house has been vacuumed! It's size is good for getting under furniture. It is pretty thorough although sometimes j have to put it on again after a cycle. One down side is that I often have to empty it once or twice during a cycle. The storage is a bit small, although I do have two dogs. Sometimes I'll have to spot vacuum in high traffic ares but if you keep the brushes and sensors clean you'll have great success.

I have been wanting a robot vacuum for some time. I bought the latest Best Buy had available. When I got home it was very simple to use. It has a large start button in the middle that lights up in green plus 4 additional buttons for docking, scheduling, clock, and spot cleaning. Did I mention it also has a screen where it displays the time!? really cute. I most enjoy being able to schedule it to clean at a specific time on certain days. This one also comes with a remote control. I honestly never use the remote control. It also brings two stop sensors but i haven't used them, i just close the doors to where I want it. I have hard wood floors and marble floors and its does a great job. The bin has only filled up once which was the first time I used it. You definitely can't leave things on the floor like cables, towels, curtains, loose rugs, etc. or it will tangle up in it. It is very noisy and it crashes very roughly into things, I recommend a better sensor all around not just in the front.. other than that. GREAT DAILY VACUUM!

We think it is a time saver for open areas, which we have. It can get caught if you have a chairs with small openings between legs. Works great on rugs and when you have rugs and hardwood. Emptying bin is no problem.if we had larger spaces, it would be nice to have a larger bin, but then size would be an issue.

We have an Irish Wolfhound that sheds long hair (3-5 inches long). One day after vacuuming, the room looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in a week due to the dog hair. We run the Roomba almost every day and it keeps the floors looking great. Amazing how much hair it picks up on carpet, wood and tile floors. Sometimes I have to empty the small collection bin before it finishes each room. Because the hair tends to get tangled around the brush bearings and the small front wheel bearings, it is a good idea to do a through cleaning of the unit every couple of weeks. It does sometimes take a while to find the base when it is through or running low on battery charge but so far it has always found it. If you have rugs with large areas of black in them (or black borders that are very wide, it will NOT vacuum them. To be fair, the manual indicates that this will happen. I wish there was a way to disable the 'stair' function since that is what is causing this issue and I have no stairs or steps in my house. If you have a lot of chairs or tables in your rooms, the Roomba will take a long longer to finish and will bang into those items a lot. Much easier than dragging out a vacuum cleaner and doing it yourself but takes much longer. All in all, a good purchase. Not nearly as loud as a regular vacuum but is not quiet.

Love my Roomba. I tried buying a cheaper model from another manufacturer that turned out to be a complete waste of time as it would never make it back to the charging base by itself. Only issues I've found with the Roomba is if you have furniture like some TV stands that Ikea sold with very low bottom shelves, it won't be high enough to be sensed by the robot and it'll try to get inside and get stuck. I blocked it off with some shoes and problem solved.

The Roomba does what I need. It is very good at picking up dog hair and dust. With three big dogs, I have a lot of both. It's great to come home and have freshly vacuumed floors. I have tile, laminate and rugs, it works equally well on all. I need to empty the dust bin every day because it picks up so much. I do come home once in awhile to find the Roomba stuck somewhere. This is probably my fault as I need to give the Roomba a clear path.
