We looked at other brands and their reviews. However, upon bringing it home and using it, we were pleased on how it worked in cleaning our carpets. Very pleased and got it on sale as well!

Had the roomba for a couple of months and use it regularly to vacuum wood floors,tile and carpets. It works well and can easily navigate furniture and rugs on wood floor. The ability to schedule is great and I use it to vacuum when I'm at work. I like that it can get under furniture, especially the bed as that is one area that typically does not get done with a normal vacuum. You do need to move furniture so that the roomba can get around tight spaces and pick up cables, cat toys etc as they can get caught in the brushes. Also can get stuck under some furniture.

Love this thing! As a man I never thought I'd see the day where a vaccum was my favorite purchase! But with two 60 lb dogs, and one that sheds a ton this is by far the best thing I have ever bought! The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is because if I want it to do multiple rooms I feel like it gets lost. You do need to make sure things are picked up before hand but I can honestly say my floors have never been cleaner! Would buy another for sure!

This is one purchase that I am really happy I made. The first week of using this vacuum, I really noticed the difference in my carpeting. Not by using the vacuum on a regular schedule, I seldom have to empty the dust bin. My only complaint so far is that it gets stuck at times and turns itself off, but once I move it to another location and resume the cleaning option, it is fine.

Bought this to help keep up with dog hair. It does a great job with dog hair. We have laminate floors with area rugs and a couple throw rugs. It does great transitioning from the laminate to the rugs. Only had to rescue it once from getting stuck on a corner that flopped over. It is pretty noisy, but I have it scheduled to run when everyone leaves for the day. I wished it had come with a 3rd door sensor. I should have gotten one a long time ago!

I love pushing the clean button and coming home and the floor is perfect. We use it for our hardwood floor. We have multiple dogs so this truly great at picking up hair that used to be a daily chore for us. It really does a great job covering all areas and getting around corners. You can have shaggy rugs down, and sometimes it can get lost and not find it's way back to its charger. Pretty minimal complaints compared to the awesome benefits.

the Roomba is better than I expected - comes to life as scheduled - cleans very well - picks up more dust and dirt from the floors than is supposed to be there - the virtual walls keep Bubba in the area of concern - I do physically pick him up and take him to certain areas that I want cleaned based on my calendar of which rooms I want cleaned, otherwise he eats dirt from room to room within the virtual walls - he cleans for a little over an hour at a time depending on which room(s) he is working on any particular day - not real noisy, but it can be annoying - he is very erratic in his chosen pattern, but he does the job - I have physically sat and watched him a time or two and I must admit that I do get annoyed myself when he seems to ignore a piece of dirt that I can see, but he comes back to it sooner or later - I hesitated to buy this for a long time and then finally decided that I needed it - glad I purchased it - I'm a very structured person and Bubba is definitely not - he is still learning the various rooms and will now slow down when he comes to a large object - no damages because he is covered in rubber - I fired my twice a month cleaning service because Bubba proved that they were not dusting as well as they should: baseboards and chair legs - because of his erratic behavior he sometimes seems to find a spot he likes and stays there longer than I think he should - I do want to emphasize that he does do a good job in his own way - just don't become fixated on him while he's eating dust and dirt - I would recommend this Roomba and I might buy another one some day - what they say in the sales spiel is correct

With 2 dogs and 3 cats, our house would have the infamous dust bunnies and another animal forming in the corner. No longer! With the Roomba, the daily chore of sweeping up animal hair is gone and I don't have to hear my wife complain about it. The machine does a great job in multiple surfaces we have in the home on the 1st floor (tile, hardwood and carpet) and doesn't miss a beat. It is a tad on the noisy side so we program it to run while we are not home. Be sure to supervise the first few runs to ensure it doesn't get stuck under any funiture and set up the blockers as needed. Very happy with this purchase!

Very convenient. I turn it on, set up the barriers, and leave. When I get home, the room is vacuumed and the 770 is back at it's dock.

Yea I don't have to vacuum any more most of the time even with two cats and a dog inside. Works well on keeping carpet and tile clean it occasionally gets hung up under edge of counter.

Once you set its cleaning schedule it goes to work for you and frees up time you would have lost when vacuuming yourself. Plus: Easy to set up and use Does a good job on carpet Minus: Gets stuck almost everyday on something new in the house and doesn't finish its cleaning cycle. It picks up my dogs hair from the carpet and then drops it on the hardwood floors. Overall if I didn't own dogs I would love this machine but with 2 labs it just doesn't cut it. It picks up most of their hair but then randomly drops it off somewhere else on the hardwood floors so you come home to a clean carpet and piles of dog hair everywhere else.

The roomba 770 is great for non carpet areas. I have a high trafic area and three dogs. The hard wood floor gets nasty dirty. But now life is simple, I schedule my roomba daily when i leave for work and when I come home it is clean. Great feeling!! I love it!!

When you are not in the mood to vaccum the roomba gets the job done. I am OCD and notice it doesn't hit every spot and can't pick up everything like a normal vaccum but other than that it's one less thing to do around the house. It helps out tremendously and does a really good job. I love it!!

This is a good product which works well as a house cleaning helper. It will not replace your vacuuming but will really assist in decreasing the frequency of needed vacuuming and help you keep your house clean between vacuuming.

It works great, gets the hard to reach places under tables and chairs. Love the scheduling feature and how it docks when it's done. Makes keeping the floors clean really easy. You have to remember to empty its bin, which is easy to forget since it runs on its own. It does do a random pattern, but multiple cleanings seems to cover the entire room. The down side: it can get stuck in tight places and it does get confused on our area rug due to the patterns in the rug. In both scenarios it just shuts down and you have to manually relocate it and start it again.

Not only does it clean my carpets, it entertains my cats & dog! The iRobot does a fabulous job detecting dirt and picking it up with intense attention!

I love my Roomba! Our house is mostly hardwood, with carpet in one room, and our Roomba has been a pro! I love that it cleans under the bed and the couch. I use it in every room at least once a week, and it does a fabulous job cleaning up after our dogs. The Roomba is supposed to be able to navigate over rugs, but it does have trouble on one of our rugs - a loose rug on the hardwood. (My dogs slide on it too, so I can't hold that against the Roomba too much.) It does seem to have some trouble finding home. Even a few feet away from the docking station, it can bump around and turn in the wrong direction.

This little robot does a good job and gets into places that are very difficult for me to get to and still be thorough. It would be helpful to include a little tool to pull things like hair and thread from the gears. Overall, I love it and it does the job.

This is a little piece of heaven in my constant need to vac up pet hair thanks to my pet menagerie. It works better on the wood floors than it does on the carpet, but it is reliable and accurate and I'm totally happy with my purchase. You can schedule it to start automatically, and I love that feature so I don't forget to do it. It lets you know when the little tray is full and needs to be emptied. The cleaning tools work like a charm to remove the pet hair from the brushes. I wish I had purchased this vac years ago. Highly recommend.

Awesome. Hardest part is remembering to empty the dust bin. I never new how much stuff is on my floors. First couple days I had to empty it every day. Now it's every other day to empty. Works like a charm. A lot easier than vacuuming myself.
