From the beginning this product would fail to empty the vacuum into the base. Persistent sealing errors. I tried twice to get support from iRobot and never got a suitable response from the company. Thankfully I got Geek Squad protection and was able to have it replaced after trying for 90 days to resolve with iRobot. The vacuum itself is incredible. I hate that I ended up paying for Geek Squad protection twice but i guess its better than paying for the device and never having it work properly. No I don’t work for BB or GS and I usually think protection plans are not worth it. I had read enough reviews about errors for this model and decided I still wanted to try it.

Amazing vacuum. It cleans well and takes pictures of obstructions so you can update the mapping. No issues so far. Mopping works great as well. I really like that you use cleaning solution as opposed to other robo mops that only use water.

I am a first-time user. I had a slight difficulty installing it, but overall, it was a good experience. My dog seems to be the obstacle number one. There is an issue with the golden retriever fur pickup; it creates balls that I need to pick up separately. It is good for quick, overnight cleaning when nobody is there.

The J7 has been great but not with some learnings. * Make sure you create no cleaning zones. It helps with the overall cleaning mapping. If, you depend on the initial map to control the limited areas. It will (for some reason) still want to wander a little to rooms that are not on the assigned Fav. Great unit - after the kid's popcorn party and off to bed with them. I just made sure the room was ready and sent the J7 to work. Amazing to wake up to a clean (popcorn-free) floor

I’m in love with this vacuum! I should’ve bought one sooner. I always swept and mopped and it would get tiring. It definitely knows what to do. It’s not perfect 100% but for the most part, does the job well done.

This thing was one of the best purchases I have ever made. It mapped out my home and perfectly auto detects that carpet and hardwood. It cleans the carpet just as well as our big Shark vacuum and the mopping feature is extremely convenient for the wood. I set it up on a schedule so the apartment is cleaned 3x a week. Do not get this unless you get the self-emptying dock!

I have owned several Roomba vacuums, including the S9+ (their strongest.) Our main floor consists of two area rugs and the majority hardwood, so we hoped this would be a great fit for us. The mopping action as it vacuums the hardwood is great, though the reservoir for cleaning solution is small - so if you have a big area to clean, it will run out first. The reason I returned this item was not at all due to the mopping or navigation - both of those were, in my opinion, well executed. The navigation of this thing BLOWS AWAY the S9+... HOWEVER.... this thing doesn't suck. And that's a problem with vacuums. They are supposed to. We went as far as to place tufts of dog fur directly in its path and just watched it drive over them or shove them aside. We would have to go manually vacuum both area rugs after the thing ran, as it would just leave clumps of dog fur behind instead of picking it up like our S9+ does. In summary, if you are all hardwood - this thing would probably be great. If you have rugs, the suction is below average.

For about a 1.5 years, I had been using another brands vacuum (Deebot N8+ Pro) that was working ok and had top features like lidar, object detection, a mopping attachment and a self empty station. But a subpar app and minor issue after issue piled up. In a fit of a rage after an issue with tangled brushs and the dust bin not emptying, I did a cram session on all the best robot vacuum options in my budget and found the Roomba J7+ Combo. On an inpulse buy, I bought it and picked it up all within a couple hours of when I started researching. Set up of the Roomba was easy and I sent it out on a mapping run. The mapping took significantly longer than it did with my other vacuum (multiple runs over a couple hours), and was not as accurate. The N8 Pro's lidar definitely has an edge over the Roomba's initial camera mapping in that regards. Also, the Roomba does show the robot's location on the map in realtime like the Deebot does (it just says what room its in) which is a mild bummer. However...that's where Deebot's pros of the J7+ ended. Once my house was mapped, the Roomba got to work and cleaned quicker and more thoroughly, filling up bin after bin in areas the Deebot had vacuumed earlier in the day. Roomba easily got on and off of my multiple mid to high pile rugs that Deebot could barely handle and clean. The Roombas camera more efficiently spotted and avoided obstacles that the Deebot's advanced laser system struggled to spot and manuever around. And to top it off, the Roomba's mopping system blows the Deebot's mop out of the water. It can mop hard floor and vacuum carpet in the same session due to it's self lifting mop, and you can add cleaning solution to the water tank as well. Another issue I had with my old vacuum is does not have the ability to know when the dust bin is full, so it can sometimes get too full. The Roomba empties as soon as its full, so thats never a problem. I am a month in now and have not had a single issue. Well, 1. It would show pictures of obstacles after completed jobs. I've seen online that this is not uncommon and requires a map reset. It's not that big of a deal for me, so I'm ignoring it. Anyways, I love my J7+ combo and my house is cleaner than ever. It was worth the investment!

Roomba does a great job! Avoids obstacles and the mopping feature is very useful. Only thing that could be better is that the cleaning pad gets pretty dirty very fast as it's quite small. There is a new model that loads water it would great if it also cleaned the pad.

Works great. Saves me an hour a day. Way better than the two piece combo that i had before.

Mapping is very good. Object a avoidance was key benefit in choosing the model, works great. I have dogs and floors never felt clean with just sweeping and vacuuming. Now floors are drastically cleaner. Robot is very good at navigating room transitions. Best thing I have purchased this year.

It definitely makes a big difference but you can't rely on it for deep cleaning. You will have to vacuum and mop for deep cleaning and for hard to reach places. Another issue is it is really determined to get to certain areas so if you have a lot of tight spaces or certain kinds of furniture it will bump into it quite a bit. I have some very expensive antique chairs in my living room and it was determined to get over the chair legs which was very concerning. There was minor damage to a wooden chair leg but after that initial issue there hasn't been any other problem with it. Overall it was a good purchase.

I liked the way it did the vacuum. I was really impressed the way they designed the self empty feature. The only reason I have 4 star is that I wish this product had a mop cleaning option as well.

Good vacuum, not so good of a mop. The dry trash bin does not last long. I have had to order a new bin.

I am not sure what I was thinking when I bought a Roomba but I wasn't expecting vacuuming to be an all day event or that the Roomba would be so loud when it empties its cannister. There is no way I could run it at night because it is so loud, Roomba does a pretty good job of cleaning the floor but it will completely leave one area to go to another area and may or may not come back before going back home. I just had wood laminate floors installed in my entire house and have not finished putting away or throwing away items from various rooms so I have not programmed Roomba yet. I have not used the floor mopping feature and probably won't, so I have no comment one way or the other there. At times it seems as if it would be easier to take out the Dyson and vacuum. Then, I would be done and able to move on to something else.

Vacuum works very well, and is easy to set up. My only criticism would be that the bags fill up pretty quickly, so buy the bags in bulk. Also, when it empties the bin, it's a bit loud. Don't expect heavy mopping, but light stuff, it did well

I have had this since April 2024 and have really tried to like it but I’m finished tryjng. This thing for the price is horribke. Loud, SO loud! Unreliable, cant get it to go more than 2 days wothout having to attend to it, not sire what the benefit of self emptying is when I have to constantly attend to the “Empty the bin” request/error. I had a Shark before and loved it, but dog poop killed it, so I bought this one for the detection gaurantee and of course the puppy potty trained ans never pooped in the house again. Can’t express how much I dislike this thing, but for how much I paid it’s hard to replace it. Ugh!

I like the roomba, very good product, Works like a breeze. Sometimes it get stuck because of larger particle interfering however fixing it is really easy.

Quieter than previous models. The self-emptying part is very loud, but brief. The mapping is insanely good. it's even able to accurately guess what "room" it's in, even in an open floorplan. It also doesn't slam into furniture like previous models. It's a bit of a splurge, but I highly recommend it.

So far I have been very pleased with this. In a two dog household with it daily I see a significant difference on the cleanliness of our floors, which no longer have a patina of fur on them. Would highly recommend. I simply do not have enough time to keep my floor as clean as this does. I have the j7+ combo for the downstairs where mopping is needed and the j7+ for the carpeted upstairs. On eco mode I am able to fully mop daily.
