I generally don’t like to review electronics for at least six months and I’ve only owned this products for a 3 weeks. I’ll update this review in few months. I have really noticed a difference, especially in the cleanliness of my hardwood floors. I have 4 dogs so there’s a lot of hair and vacuuming was really a chore. I have Roomba scheduled in the app to vacuum every other day. I have the kitchen floor mopped every other day as well. It really has helped a lot, especially with all the dust in my old house. You do however need to hit spots that the Roomba misses with a regular vacuum cleaner (mostly tight corners). It’s still a lot easier than vacuuming the entire house with the vacuum cleaner. Mapping could be a little better. Doesn’t seem to recognize my entrance hall carpet (colors in it are similar to the floor). Also, I would want it to hit all corners with the rotating brushes to make sure dust and dog hair is removed in all the corners of rooms. Otherwise, the Roomba seems to be a great little product and it sure makes routine cleaning a easier. Hopefully it will continue to improve with software updates.

We purchased the iRobot j7+ to replace another robot that just wasn't working well. The j7+is really fun to watch when it switches between the mopping and vacuuming modes. It does a good job mopping and so far am much better job at vacuuming than the other robot that we had. It has gotten stuck a few times in the same location and we had to set a "keep out" zone to prevent it from getting stuck there again. A few times it has been unable to return to the dock because it ran out of power. But it typically cleans for several hours. I like that it continues to ask for reviews of obstacles it finds during cleaning sessions. It even captured a picture of one of the dogs once.

Smart cleaninf and mapping. Great vacuum and it gets the job done with the mopping. Its as loud as the rest when cleaning, and really loud qhen emptying.

I’ve owned 3 Roomba’s and this one by far is my favorite. Less problems with getting stuck, battery life is better. Seeing pictures of things that caused problems and setting zones. Mopping feature is an extra perk.

In the first use, it dragged and rolled in my electric cord. And not like earlier version that you can easily release the cord, but for this one I finally have to cut the electric cord. The docking station waste bag is about double of the size of the old version in-unit waste bin. It doesn't hold 60 days of waste if you have carpet and pet. Pro: neat, simply replace the waste bag. Con: costly, prepare to change bag every other week. It vacuums and mops very well but the clean path doesn't seems smart, it keeps repeat in the same area, I don't know if it will improve over the time. I initially very disappointed and concerned about my electric cords and cost of waste bags, but now I started to like it because it cleans very well. Best buy only give me two weeks to try and I won't have time at two weeks, I have to make decision in 5 days. I probably have to return it to avoid trying to return it too late. I haven't decided whether to recommend it.

The J7 has been great but not with some learnings. * Make sure you create no cleaning zones. It helps with the overall cleaning mapping. If, you depend on the initial map to control the limited areas. It will (for some reason) still want to wander a little to rooms that are not on the assigned Fav. Great unit - after the kid's popcorn party and off to bed with them. I just made sure the room was ready and sent the J7 to work. Amazing to wake up to a clean (popcorn-free) floor

I have owned several IRobots . My last one S9 was great . I upgraded to the J7 combo and it was not good out of the box . Two calls to I robot and a new one was on its way 2 days after buying it . I thought oh nobit new one is great . Vacuum portion mapping portion is great. The mopping is nice not to have two separate machines, but mopping is not top-notch the more you mop with it. The better it gets. I robot vacuums have always served as well. Still not 100% satisfied with the mopping portion.

From the beginning this product would fail to empty the vacuum into the base. Persistent sealing errors. I tried twice to get support from iRobot and never got a suitable response from the company. Thankfully I got Geek Squad protection and was able to have it replaced after trying for 90 days to resolve with iRobot. The vacuum itself is incredible. I hate that I ended up paying for Geek Squad protection twice but i guess its better than paying for the device and never having it work properly. No I don’t work for BB or GS and I usually think protection plans are not worth it. I had read enough reviews about errors for this model and decided I still wanted to try it.

We really like this machine. This is our third Roomba and it gets stuck much less. We have three dogs and it avoids their toys. The only issue we have had is the mop getting stuck under an area carpet. Happens seldom but has happened a couple times. The mop function works quite well. We have hard surface floors throughout our home and they stay much cleaner. No need for soap just add water. We haven’t had a run in with pet accidents yet but I expect it will avoid them like the toys.

Does a good job cleaning and mopping. Sometimes leaves lines but wetting the mop head manually fixes this. Main issue is it closes doors and locks itself in rooms.

This thing was one of the best purchases I have ever made. It mapped out my home and perfectly auto detects that carpet and hardwood. It cleans the carpet just as well as our big Shark vacuum and the mopping feature is extremely convenient for the wood. I set it up on a schedule so the apartment is cleaned 3x a week. Do not get this unless you get the self-emptying dock!

Amazing vacuum. It cleans well and takes pictures of obstructions so you can update the mapping. No issues so far. Mopping works great as well. I really like that you use cleaning solution as opposed to other robo mops that only use water.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the Roomba Combo j7+. We’re thrilled you are loving your new robot. Three cheers for clean floors!

I am a first-time user. I had a slight difficulty installing it, but overall, it was a good experience. My dog seems to be the obstacle number one. There is an issue with the golden retriever fur pickup; it creates balls that I need to pick up separately. It is good for quick, overnight cleaning when nobody is there.

It definitely makes a big difference but you can't rely on it for deep cleaning. You will have to vacuum and mop for deep cleaning and for hard to reach places. Another issue is it is really determined to get to certain areas so if you have a lot of tight spaces or certain kinds of furniture it will bump into it quite a bit. I have some very expensive antique chairs in my living room and it was determined to get over the chair legs which was very concerning. There was minor damage to a wooden chair leg but after that initial issue there hasn't been any other problem with it. Overall it was a good purchase.

I haven't tried any other expensive robovac but this J7+ is awesome. I've programmed Google to send it all kinds of places and it's never gotten stuck. I take it downstairs and the tile floors are nice and clean. If it had a tail and barked it would be perfect. I thought about getting the water refiller base or the j9+ instead but the mop pad already gets musty after a day of sitting so I'd rather just keep the little built in tank empty and the pad clean and dry and only put the pad on and fill it when the floor really needs mopping. The big refill tank base station would probably get mold in it after a couple of weeks of just sitting. Also, I don't like the big vacuum bags that come with the base. They smell weird sorta chemically and there over the top expensive compared to a regular vacuum cleaner. I'm going to look for knock-offs online and test them out. I should have gotten this instead of wasting $100 on a cheapo. Those things just bounce of the walls and don't get anything done.

Works great. Saves me an hour a day. Way better than the two piece combo that i had before.

I am not sure what I was thinking when I bought a Roomba but I wasn't expecting vacuuming to be an all day event or that the Roomba would be so loud when it empties its cannister. There is no way I could run it at night because it is so loud, Roomba does a pretty good job of cleaning the floor but it will completely leave one area to go to another area and may or may not come back before going back home. I just had wood laminate floors installed in my entire house and have not finished putting away or throwing away items from various rooms so I have not programmed Roomba yet. I have not used the floor mopping feature and probably won't, so I have no comment one way or the other there. At times it seems as if it would be easier to take out the Dyson and vacuum. Then, I would be done and able to move on to something else.

Mapping is very good. Object a avoidance was key benefit in choosing the model, works great. I have dogs and floors never felt clean with just sweeping and vacuuming. Now floors are drastically cleaner. Robot is very good at navigating room transitions. Best thing I have purchased this year.

My wife loves this thing. It was easy to set up and add to your phone. The app let's you know exactly which room it's cleaning and keeps you updated as to what it's doing, and it is not as noisy as one may think, in fact much quieter than a normal upright vacuum. The water reservoir for mopping is rather small, and needs to be refilled before the job is complete, but other than that the Roomba is awesome.

The product is working exceptionally well ever since we brought this we don’t have the sweep the home by myself
