iRobot Roomba i3 Vacuum & Braava jet m6 Mop Bundle
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We just received out iRobot Roomba i3 Robot Vacuum and Braava jet m6 Robot mop Bundle and week ago and have been putting it through its paces. We were super excited when we got the chance to received and text both the vacuum and mop out together. Inside the huge box was 2 separate packages; one for the vacuum and the other for the mop. Box 1: Robot Mop * iRobot Roomba Vacuum * Power Cord * Automatic Dirt Disposal Canister * 2 Dirt Disposal Bags * 1 Extra Filter * User Documentation/Start Guide Box 2: Robot Mop * iRobot Braava jet m6 Robot Mop * Power Cord * Charging Dock & Dock Tray * 2 Disposable Wet Mop Pads * 1 Reusable Wet Mop Pad * Bona Cleaning Solution for Hardwood Floors * Bona Cleaning Solution for Tile, Laminate, Ceramic * User Documentation/Start Guide Setting up both the vacuum and the mop were pretty self explanatory, following along with the quick start guides that come inside both boxes. Once you have them both set up on their respective docking stations, you will need to let them charge up. This took me about 30-45 minutes together. Meanwhile download the iRobot app from the App Store for iPhones or Google Play Store for Androids. After awhile they will be ready for connection to your home Wi-Fi network and will be ready for use. You may need to do a quick firmware update for them. My mop only required a firmware update. Now that both were connected to our home network we started them both at the same time using the iRobot app. The mop was setup in our kitchen and the vacuum was setup in our living room. The mop stayed in the kitchen, however, the vacuum crossed over into the kitchen and there were a couple of times they nearly crashed into one another. After about 45 minutes they were both complete and had returned to their docking/charging stations. One thing we noticed was that when the vacuum transfer the dirt from the vacuum to the canister that its extremely loud. I mean its just as loud as a regular full size vacuum cleaner. But again this is only when its transferring the dirt/dust to the canister. Also, something that we noticed with the canister is that you would have to purchase more bags for it. Not sure how expensive this may become over time. I wish there was like a reusable/washable bag that would help cut down on costs. As far as the mop, it did a decent job at best, however, I wouldn't rely on it as the main mop, especially if you have kids or pets. I noticed there were areas that it clearly missed, however, once you run it multiple times it may start to learn the area its cleaning a little better. Overall, we have enjoyed using both the vacuum and the mop over the last week and will continue to use it, but will still also use our main vacuum and mops when necessary.

Never dissatisfied when it starts its job
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I lived with my aunt who owned thsi exact model and they used to run it on a schedule and whwnver it gets cracking any speck of dust I felt used to get cleaned away like it never existed. Does a excellent job vacuuming and mopping with houses that have pets. Never disappointed with dirt ion our floor once they bought this. Best product money could ever buy.

What a Wombo Combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great combination of products. I have to young kids and a dog which meant I would have to spend so much time vacuuming just to keep up with them. On average, I would probably spend at least an hour a day vacuuming. Now, I only vacuum if I really need to which is almost never. Now I just have the Roomba scheduled to vacuum after the kids go to bed and it takes care of the rest. I have use other automated vacuums before, but they always had issues and needed assistance because they would get stuck on something or go where they should not. The i3+ Roomba however has only need me to check on it once and that was because I left something on the floor it should not have sucked up. The floor mapping is also really good. Even after just a few uses, it already had a pretty accurate layout of my house and it improves it everytime we use it. Paired with the Braava mop, which will create its own floor map that will exclude carpetted or rugged areas, is the perfect solution to keep my floors looking great. These two little bots have saved me so much time and energy.

Good mop, good vac, bad maps.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad robot vacuum and mop starter bundle, but the i3+ obstacle avoidance and mapping feature need more work. From my understanding it doesn’t have a camera or lidar, but basically bumps around and feels its way around a room to map it. Or at least that’s how it seems watching it work. It was like seeing Mr. Magoo trying to work his way out of a room. Which is precisely the problem I’m having with the i3+. It won’t leave the room! I’ve sent it on over a dozen mapping runs and it just maps the room it’s in and then finishes the mapping run by going “home”. And this exposes a big flaw of the Roomba “smart map” feature in that it only creates a map from one mapping run and doesn’t continually add onto the map as it finds new areas. As it stands, I’ve done over a dozen mapping runs and the i3+ won’t leave the room it’s in to map and thus misses the rest of the house. Coming from lidar equipped robovacs, this leaves a lot to be desired. On the other hand, I do like how I can put it in any room, press clean, and it’ll bump around the room to “scan” it and vacuum it in an orderly fashion. It just won’t be able to make it home on its own. And because I can’t get it to make a map of the rest of the house, I can’t designate rooms and can’t use the features I was excited for, like telling Google to “vacuum the living room”. Aside from that, the i3+ vacuums well and is able to get over floor transitions about 3/4” high. The Roomba app also has a nice interface with which is easy to read and use, but again, the “smart mapping” leaves a lot to be desired. I’m sure if I placed it somewhere wide open to the rest of the house it’ll do a better job mapping, but I’ve also seen it completely ignore sections for reasons I can’t fathom. And while i3+ is Mr. Magoo, the Braava Jet m6 robomop, is the much more competent member of this duo. I don’t know if it uses different sensors to scan a room, but it was a lot more thorough and adventurous than the i3+. I placed it in the hallway to start and I found it working in every room, gently squirting and mopping away. It does a fairly thorough job, and I was legitimately impressed by how clean my hardwood floors felt. I’m having the same struggle with doing mapping runs with the m6, but since you’re supposed to place it in the room you want it to mop to begin with, I don’t mind not having the map setup yet. It’s also how I’m using the i3+ now, until I can get it to map the rest of the house. Overall, this could be a good starter bundle if the i3+ maps your house correctly. It’s Google and Alexa compatible, so if you can get a proper map, you can tell it to vacuum the guest room and live the futuristic dream.

Roomba Vacuum and mop bundle
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does a pretty good job of picking up dust, hair from the cat and most other things, but it does not pickup fine sand or gravel. The mop portion seems to do a very good job.
