iRobot Roomba has made a common house hold name for itself over the years. Roomba's have become known for their accurate mapping abilities along with their straight line vacuum patterns. Their self learning computing power allows them to learn new structures around the house in the event you decide to do some re-decorating. Out of the box you get everything you need to get you set up including the free downloadable app which is needed to get the unit setup. Through the app you have a list of features including, schedule settings, room mapping, battery life, etc. Zones can be created to allow the Roomba to focus on a specific area or allow specific mapping of a room. Obstacle detection is by far some of the best I have ever seen in a self propelled vacuum. Rather its stairs at the edge of a room or a sock laying on the ground, the Roomba's optical sensors do a awesome job at avoiding ledges and obstacles along the way. In the event that it does get tangled up in an unseen obstacle such as a power cord, the Roomba will power down and send you a distress notification via the app. If during your vacuum session the Roomba picks up some embedded debris in the fibers of your carpet, the Roomba will spend a little extra time ever said area in an attempt to get the debris removed. This unit will work on both carpet and dry ground such as hardwood floor and tile. What sets this unit apart from its previous flagships is its auto empty features which takes places when it docks. If at any point it determines its waste bin is over filled it will return to its home base and will empty itself then go back out there and continue its task. The really nice thing about this feature is it empties in to a enclosed bag which helps to eliminate unnecessary contact with the dirt and debris. All in all this is a great feature to go with for those lacking time. The self empty dock means you don't have to get yourself dirty by emptying the waste bin. At the current price point that this unit is coming in at this is a easy buy for those looking to get in to the self cleaning market. At the end of the day its a Roomba, a name which has proven itself with both accuracy and reliability over the years.

The iRobot Roomba comes in a large box and is well packaged. I downloaded the app and charged the unit. I don’t know why, but the Roomba device needs to be on the 2.4 WiFi frequency rather than 5.0 & this can be confusing. I have had other Roombas for several years and I also have an Auto Emptying in another house. This Roomba seems to be made with cheaper parts. I have a house with tile throughout and a very smooth floor. This Roomba made lots of noise & sounded like a wheel was not attached properly. It also banged into the furniture as it wandered through the house. I like to start my vacuum Roomba and sit down for a second cup of coffee but with this little devil, I was constantly getting up to get it unstuck or out of a trapped situation. The motor on this device is quieter, which is good but the loose plastic pretty much drives me crazy. After I tired of rescuing it, I pressed the Home button and it should have gone to the den to recharge but instead it returned to the kitchen and just kept vacuuming. It did do a fairly good job of vacuuming but I needed to use a stick vacuum in the corners in the kitchen. I have never been a fan of how the Roomba technology has the device just wander randomly around the house. Other manufacturers have figured out how to map your house and the device knows each room and via the app you can direct it to clean specific rooms. This aimless wandering makes you wonder if it has actually cleaned all areas. Given how this product has been made, I think there are other Roombas models that would be a better choice.

DJ Roomba is in the house! Well, only if you put a speaker on top, though that is not recommended! We did briefly put a Bluetooth speaker on to see if the Parks and Recreation bit would work, it does but our dog hated it! Anyway, the setup is incredibly straightforward and easy, everything you need is neatly organized in the box to get set up and the app walks you through the entire process. Setting up a schedule is very quick and works great, but you can also easily run your Roomba whenever you'd like for a quick, deep or spot clean. The login can easily be shared with your household and integrated into your smart home for quick access by the whole family. The AutoEmpty dock holds a good amount of dirt and debris for how compact it is! I was able to store the dock under an overhang on my kitchen island right next to the garbage and the Roomba vac has had no problem finding the dock, it has also had no problem with debris or obstacles on the ground or getting stuck! This thing is awesome and presents a great value compared to a lot of the other self-emptying vacuums out there! Awesome features, great price, and a large bin capacity!

I have always loved robot cleaners and decided to try this one as it was within a great price range for me. Unfortunately, it was not even worth it at the price level that its currently placed at. Perhaps if this was under $100 it would raise it to 4 stars. Unpackaging was nice and simple, it comes partially charged however recommend to fully charge it before running it for the first time. The setup of the software was average, it is limited functionality. This device does not map the house but does provide a "cleaned path". Honestly the app is very important because you need to modify the settings to get it to function at the optimal settings. For example, it is important to change the suction setting of low to high suction in settings. The app does provide a "Product / Brush Roller Health" however feel that its more based on a timer than actually sensing when service is needed. Speaking of sensors, this product has a very limited sensor, it is unable to detect the difference between hard floor and carpet. It also doesn't know how to get around objects if it bumps into one side, for example a table leg. It only has one circular brush so it can miss objects that are not in its direct path or along a wall edge. The largest challenge is this does not have the ability to set barriers for "no go" zones. It will just keep going outsize of your wanted zones or run into areas you do not wish it to go into. Also, another large challenge is its very susceptible to small cords / toys and struggles locating docking station upon return. Honestly, if you are looking for a good budgeted cleaning robot I recommend another product. This one feels they cut too many corners to make it cheap.

I love this product. As a mom of 3 kids, I barely have time to clean the playroom. Our playroom was often full of snacks crammed into the floor, and keeping it tidy felt impossible. Using this robot vacuum cleaner, I can finally have more time with my kids and friends. It is fast, efficient, and strong. The battery life is impressive, allowing me to clean the entire house twice on a single charge. The vacuum cleaner itself is lightweight and easy to move when needed. The monitor on the top is so helpful, showing the battery level clearly, which helps me plan cleaning sessions better. What stands out the most is how smart it is, it never gets stuck on toys scattered around the room. It navigates around obstacles with ease, ensuring the whole playroom is spotless in just five minutes. The suction power is strong enough to pick up crumbs, pet hair, and dust . It even manages to reach under low furniture. Overall, this product has truly made my life easier, and I’m extremely happy with the results.

The vacuum works just in an area of the house did not go anywhere else in an hour. When goes to the tower to empty did no empty too much! When you check the app to try to see if you have options to make it to clean in more area it doesn’t have nothing!
