My fave Iron Man movie! Great soundtrack, interesting and action-packed storyline. Robert Downey Jr. did Iron Man justice in this series! I bought the 4K steel book to replace my original blu-ray movie. The cover artwork and film upgrade to 4K made it worth it.

Trying to complete the steel case collection. I appreciate the construction and quality of the cases. I haven’t found any defects with the movie discs as of yet. The enclosed codes for Movies Anywhere/iTunes are a fantastic help and worth purchasing just for the convenience of the accessibility when traveling.

This sequel to Iron Man has a hard task in following up its predecessor but it doesn't disappoint. The follow through on the developing Iron Man technology is handled with aplomb and as usual Tony Stark's snappy dialog is worth hearing over and over. As expeccted, Marvel's special effects are seemless.

Another great MCU Transfer for Disney. This is the best this movie has ever looked its a 2k DI upscaled to 4K the movie was shot on 35mm so there is grain and softness but it is a great improvement in depth and detail over the 1080p transfer. HDR is great, Atmos is good great use of surrounds and overheads.

A Fun Sequel

Iron Man 2 is a bit disposable as a sequel as it doesn’t really do anything new or change anything with the characters.
Ultimately, if you own the other Marvel movies on 4K and want to complete your collection, then this is a worthy set to own. It comes with all the original special features from the initial release, but doesn’t come with anything new. You also get a free digital redemption code.

I bought this MCU bluray movie Iron Man 2 for my MCU movie collection, I'm pleased with this movie having been added to my collection. As of now I'm only lacking 4 movies until my MCU movie collection is completed on bluray. Great addition if you are looking to have a complete MCU movie collection.

All of Marvel's Phase 1 movies have finally been given the 4K treatment! Iron Man 2 wasn't the best sequel, but it was still a great movie (if you ask this guy) and I think adding the 4K/HDR touch will only enhance the viewing experience.
If your goal is to get the MCU entirely in 4K then this is a must-buy! Definitely get it in Steelbook form as that alone is worth the extra few $.

Review of the Disc Presentation

My review is based only on the aesthetics aspect of the disc since many of us like to collect movies.
The one think I don't like is the new covers marvel came up with, it looks simple and lacks emotions. I hope they release the 4K version and when they do (if), I hope they do a better job in designing the cover.
The movie is epic and the bonus content is good enough to keep us entertained.

Ironman 2 sequel was well done with Ivan Antonovich Vanko, also known as Whiplash..He was played by Mickey Rourke..He is the son of Soviet physicist Anton Vanko, and is a skilled physicist in his own right..Which made him a credible threat to Tony Stark Ironman..Definitely entertaining!!

With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts, and James "Rhodey" Rhodes at his side, must forge new alliances -- and confront powerful enemies.

Iron Man 2 is often banished to the bottom of the list when it comes to ranking Marvel movies, but it has always been one of my favorites. As a result I was more than happy to double dip by purchasing this Steelbook and as always Best Buy has delivered in spades. Two (iron) thumbs up.

What a great addition to the collection...the artwork is sweet, really like those movie posters look. Picture and sound qualities of these 4k versions look better and sound more immersive over the blu-ray versions. Pick these up if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed.

2008 was a stellar year for movies, in particular comic book films. Hellboy 2, while financially underwhelming due to Batman, was a critical darling and beautifully shot film that deserved way more attention than it got . The Dark Knight was a fantastic and Oscar-worthy film that brought comic book movies to the upper echelons of critical analysis and acclaim. Then there was Iron Man, the major underdog that was the best of both worlds from both films. While the Hulk film did decent, many looked forward to 2010 for the release of the third film in the MCU, and the second Iron Man film. Jon Favreau returns to direct, Robert Downey, Jr. is Iron Man, and managed to get Justin Theroux to write the screenplay. The anticipation was high, but did it meet expectations?
Tony Stark has fully embraced Iron Man at the start of the film (after declaring himself as Iron Man at the end of the first movie) and is riding high on life, or so it seems. Despite a renewed vigor to his company, his Iron Man heroics and a girlfriend with his assistant and now CEO Pepper Potts, he is secretly crumbling. Dying of poisoning from the very thing keeping him alive and the government forcing him to hand over plans to the Stark Suit technology, he is driven himself to alcohol.
Meanwhile in Russia, Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) is a scientist on poverty, with Stark's father ending his father's career as a scientist, creates his own arc power core to create his alter ego, and get revenge. Even a rival businessman, Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) is trying his hand to recreate Tony's technology. With everything going on, can Tony survive?
After the first film blew the lid off my tiny bit of expectation I had, the excitement had risen significantly, but it rose too high and the film fails to meet those lofty expectations. There is too much plot in the film, stuffed with at least 5 stories that would be ideal for the sequel. But being forced to release a sequel in two years instead of three really cramps the films style. There are also too many characters stuffed in the film, with no time to really divulge into backstory, or characty or motivations beyond surface level plotting.
The action and effects and acting really do well here, with returning and newcomers really doing well with what they were given to work. The effects have the same quality as before, as do the rest of the technical aspects of the film, no surprise given the massive $200 million budget after the huge blockbuster that was Iron Man. Favreau mananges to make the film flow rather smoothly, despite the many roadblocks, and manages to have a nicely paced 2 hour film. But, the film really needed that extra year to pare down and focus the story and really give is the sequel we deserve. As is, it's an entertaining popcorn movie, but deserves it's spot near the bottom of the list of MCU films.
The original 2010 disc was a stand out, managing to have a terrific picture and sound quality, and being quality demo material. Ten years later, that disc is still fantastic but with the advent of 4k, does it manage to amaze? Much like the film itself, those expectations need to be checked at the door. While the first film had some rather egregious DNR applied, it wasn't the disaster some have been in the past, but expect similar results with IM2. While a sharper and more colorful picture (a 2K DI upscale and some lovely HDR10 usage), it still retains the DNR job to match the look of the third film, for some reason. Audio quality is also affected with the At-mouse design, with some less satisfaction with the bass and it being a few decibels on the loudness factor, it still delivers a fairly punchy soundfield with some nice spacial effects for good measure. Lucky, the original 2010 release is included, with the proper filmic original look and appropriately loud and punchy 7.1 DTS-HD track.
Yet again, Disney manages to take a fantastic 2010 extras package and trim it to almost nothing except what's on disc one. The UHD has no extras, but the include standard BluRay includes the audio commentary by Jon Favreau and a featurette taking a look inside the SHIELD vault. An amazing assortment of featurettes, a 4-part, full-length making-of and more are stripped for this release, and even the digital version strips some of these as well. Luckily, the BluRay is very easy to find and fairly reasonable to purchase.
As a film, it's not very good, but it's still a fun ride, just keep your expectations in check. That, too, goes for quality of UHD disc and the lack of the bonus disc from the original Paramount release. Still, it is worth it to have, but wait until there is a sale, or at least get the 3-disc BluRay if possible, it's that good.

A must own steelbook if you are an MCU steelbook collector. The Iron Man steelbooks follow the same design as the Captain America trilogy and looks great. So far all the spines are colored based on the different MCU phases, I hope that continues with future re-releases.

While not one of the strongest MCU films, there are some great characters introduced in this film. Superb picture and sound as well. The special features on the discs are extremely light, but that’s nothing new when it comes to Disney home video releases.

It’s nice to see the Iron Man Trilogy in 4K finally! Picture quality is absolutely stellar and the HDR adds nice deep blacks without losing anything. The audio is immersive, which is a must for any Marvel movie. Make sure to pick this one up!
