If you were looking for a comedy, forget it. This isn't a laugh a minute. It has cute and maybe funny moments but it seems that the story is sort of a morality play. To put simply, it's a story about money, politics, and people. The story is trying to convey is the problem of money in politics and the results it produces. With Steve Carrell, one would think it would be more humorous but subject and movie are short on laughs for me personally. It's not a bad move. It doesn't have the gravity of a drama or enough humor to provide alot of laughs. It's worth a see but don't expect too much.

Wonderful film that pokes at both sides of the America political system while showing some of the real problems with the election system in our country. I could not have better explained the hypocrisy of BOTH major US parties if I had tried. John Stewart nailed it. It perfectly shows, in my opinion, how the Republicans and Democrats are out of touch with the people they serve but also don't actually care about helping them. And be sure to watch through the credits for a further reality check. To have your eyes at least partially opened - don't miss it.

This movie is really funny. Steve Carell delivers as you'd expect him to. Rose Byrne's character is also funny, and she gets some great digs into Carell's character. It has a surprising ending that won't disappoint, and then you'll ask yourself how close it is to reality. You'll want to watch it again and again.

This was pure enjoyment to watch, and how one town took the political system to task. Laughs all the way through.
