    We bought and modified this to use as an iPad mount on a tripod. It holds the iPad well in both portrait and landscape orientations. It should work well as a mount in a car as intended as well.

    Although this product is not designed for the Dash. I was able to Install in my dash through the opening in my double din stereo slot.

    Holds tablet well, but difficult to adjust. Difficult positioning due to long extension of the pivoting point of the arm. Other versions that are much less expensive available elsewhere
