We have one of these for each of our two children's room. They have been in use now three weeks. One unit had to be returned after the cd player quit working. The replacement unit had a remote control that had old disintegrating batteries in it. The remote worked after a thorough cleaning and new batteries. Both units work fine now, sound fantastic, and our kids can operate them with ease, and the price was right. The only concern we have, involves the quality to see how well these hold up. Time will tell. The small speakers present very good sound quality. Tone, balance, and imagery are fine indeed for such a small unit. Also this stereo will crank plenty loud to fill the entire house. We've had to tell the kids to turn them down already. Overall good value for the money, great sound, but some concern over the reliability in the future. Keep in mind these units are refurbished therefore the great price.

I purchased this product skeptically, because some others had given it a bad review - parts missing, hard to understand, etc. But my system arrived quickly and safely, and it works great. It is being used both as a CD player, and as an MP3 player for our iPod, so I can attest to all the features working well. The sound is amazing for such a small device, and the remote makes it simple to live with. Buy it, you'll like it!

I barely use my stereo, I only use it occasionally while cleaning. I bought this 8/26/09 specifically so I could play CD's because my computer won't anymore (my computer is however lasted 8 years before it broke). I think I've used the CD player maybe 5 times and it worked fine. I went to use it today and the CD wouldn't work! It kept saying ERROR and NO DISC. Tried several different CD's and got the same result. I know I was taking a chance buying a refurbished stereo, and I loved it when I got it because it had everything I wanted. I just feel it should have lasted more then 4 months.

My wife wanted a pair of speakers for her MP3 player for working out for xmas. I decided to purchase a bookshelf system instead. This one hit the radar of what I was looking for. She is able to add a USB flash drive to it for music access, however, the display is very generic. I connect that same USB drive to my entertainment center, I can see the folders, songs, etc. The sound quality is par. A lot of the functions are accessed from the remote (don't loose it). Like I said, it does its job, but if I was to purchase this at full price, I would have returned it. Manufactures - Understand this, not everyone chooses to own an iPod.

I was sent a defective stereo. The cd player is broken and the cover for one of the speakers is broken. I know this is a refurbished stereo but I expected everything to work. I am also having a hard time returning it because I am waiting so long for a return ups shipping label.

My niece loved this stereo. It is great for a bedroom because of its size and flexibility. The quality of the speakers is excellent for the size.

It was advertised as refurbished but it looks new and no brand on back like other refurbished items i have gotten. I wanted it to play my I pod but even though the book was vague and did not really explain the SD card slot and the USB input I found that you could download all your music to either SD card or on a flash drive and not use the I pod at all. The book also didn’t mention the random feature would work on either of those ports which it does. Over all I am very pleased with the purchase of this player.

The condition was very poor. I had to return the product because it did not play cds (original record store bought cds). There were parts falling off. Very dissapointed.

Arrived with no i pod adapters or usable manual. Was not able to get situation resolved. I liked the looks and sound quality and kept it to use as cd player and with mp3 player. After 2 weeks system quit working. Would begin playing music then would skip tracks in middle of songs and blair out massive feedback and noise. Did this with both cd's and mp3 player. Returned system for refund. Major hassel. If you want a large clock this is the system for you.

The unit performs well if you want to use it without the remote cotrol.

Sound Quality is OK and docks with ipods well but came shipped with no remote which is a major downside.

i loved pourchasing this product since it was my christmas gift for myself. i has all the things i wanted in a stereo and works great.
