I saw this in the theater originally and thought it was pretty good. Character development was good, the story was good, and the pacing and effects were good, also. I never saw the original so I can't compare it to anything else. It is very watchable but I still am not sure if it rises to the level of AWESOME. You watch and judge for yourself.

With much respect for the original movie I was worried about this one - until I saw it. What a great film! It both honors the book and doesn't taint the legacy of the original movie. Bluray sound and picture are perfect as well!

I can't say the first half of “It” scared me senseless, but it built up enough goodwill toward its young heroes to make me curious about what they'll do in the third act and to care about what happens to them. It’s a testament to “It”s great screenplay. This is one of the most gorgeous 4K discs I’ve seen yet. The Dolby Atmos sound is exceptional.

This movie was ok. I am not sure why I was expecting more from it. Worth watching once.

I was a huge fan of the original made for tv movie. This one changes some things here and there but for the most part it is a pretty good representation of the source material. Can't wait for the second part to be released.

Scary, thrilling, and entertaining! Pennywise is back and more terrifying than ever! Everything you'd ever want in a horror movie... IT has it all! If you haven't seen this, watch it, then watch it again... you'll float too...

Too creepy for me but my 17 year old loved it. I like the original one better

This movie improved on so many things from the old TV special and even Stephen King’s own book. Very suspenseful movie that does a good job making you feel uneasy while at the same time making you have a good laugh.

Great movie, great price. Best Buy does price matching so I can shop one place without worrying about the price because Best Buy will match them. I got great deals at Best Buy

I am not the biggest fan of modern horror films. Give me the classic movie monsters or some of the more heady horror of the late 60's any day. But, this film is actually a very good modern horror film. Highly recommended.

The 4k is somewhat dark but very detailed and colorful compared to the bluray. I think this has more to do with the filming style than anything else, but the detail is incredible.

I’m not big on all these remakes but this was so well done I was pleasantly surprised! When I saw it in the theater, there was a scene that made me jump, which hasn’t happened in a long long time, this is a must buy!

4k version viewed on a 65" Vizio M class monitor & an HDR 4K (variant) Projector system (110"). My Verdict? You can save some money if you purchase the Blu-ray version instead as I found the 4k picture to be lackluster. On the bright side I found the Surround Sound to be very well designed with a lot of effective punch & gritty sound effects (sans Atmos). Overall this was a good movie that is more effective if you follow The Rules to enjoying a Horror Film... #1 Watch it at night (especially a windy night) #2 Turn off the Lights & the Phone #3 No kids, no partiers (no distractions) I felt this movie was similar to films like: Stranger Things, Super 8 & a darker mixture of Stand by Me & Monster Squad. Essentially, coming-of-age gone Creepy.

One of the best scary movies I've seen, even tho I'm not into scary movies and hardly watch them. IT is very well made and the acting is great. I couldn't sleep after watching it.

I expected this to be much better than a 30 year old made for TV movie. It's not.

This is an excellent adaptation of the first half of the Stephen King classic novel. The young actors are great and the clown is more threatening due to the Rain rating. Picture and sound are top notch. Highly recommended.

I don't go to the movies much anymore. This due to having a Spanish speaking wife that understands English very little. lol So I tend to buy the 4k versions of the movies when they come out, that way she can read the subtitles. The movie is entertaining, didn't fin it to be very scary. However, great movie to enjoy 4k HDR content.

This is probably the best horror movie in the last couple years, even better than the original, from my perspective. Great acting, awesome script and effects, I love it. I'm so happy that I finally have it in Blueray disc.

Wanted to really like this movie and waited for BR/DVD instead of theater. The BR/DVD package is well done, the extras are ample and the color transfer is very good. Blacks are deep but not over saturated and the clarity of color sharp. Waited until BR/DVD was also an additional $10 off initial BB price Glad I waited. Movie was merely OK.

I love this movie. Of course some things could've been done differently. But, overall it is awesome. It is not scary in my opinion, but it does have a little creep factor in some scenes. I do recommend it! You'll float too!
