I enjoyed watching It Comes at Night [Blu-ray] [2017].

I'm a sucker for the infected/post apocalyptic stories out there and I thought Trey Edward Shults did a fantastic job with handling the battle between human nature and the disease with this movie. If you're intrigued by that idea and atmosphere, then you should definitely check this out.

This amazing, a great story played by great actors.

While I focused on Plague as a link to this film, there are any number of other similar properties that include at least some of the same elements as It Comes at Night, including Dead Within , The Survivalist and Into the Forest (among many others), but what's ultimately so distinctive about It Comes at Night is how it resolutely eschews almost every worn out horror trope in favor of an examination of the increasing brutalization of human nature when circumstances dictate a certain amount of ruthlessness. This is not an "easy" watch, by any means, and is in fact pretty depressing, but it creates a palpable mood and is elevated by some excellent performances. Recommended.

This movie started out really well but in my opinion it just gradually got to the point where you don’t know what, or why something is going on.... Just definitely NOT what I expected to see. I hoped for better.

It Comes at Night is a nice little movie with a small cast and a good story... it's a good conversation starter about, "what would you do..." after the "collapse" has taken place. I give it a strong 4 to 4.5.

I saw the trailer for this film and thought it was gonna be great. Then I saw the film and it was horrible.

Action/adventure/horror are my kind of movies. This movie had me intrigued the whole time to see what the heck was really going on with those people. Also really like the main actor guy.

This movie is more suspense and the drama builds up to a satisfying conclusion. It's not what you think it's going to be and that's what makes it good. Slow burn but not eye gouging slow.

This is another example of the survivial horror genre but done in a way that is very enjoyable. It is slow and atmospheric and shows the descent of humanity in the face of oblivion.

This is a horror film that challenges your thinking because you can't quite figure out what they are fighting against. But you know that they dread the night time.

If you like movies that explore the darker side of survival, this is a gem, but if you’re looking for a scare fest with lots of gore, look elsewhere.

Fans of The Witch would enjoy this. A slow burner with some memorably suspenseful scenes. Not gory, so fans of straightforward horror need not apply.

Much more of a drama and thriller and more real life horror than anything. It's more of a movie you think about after you watch it, then most horror films.

This is a horror film that does a great job of creating and sustaining suspense without much violence or gore and a threat that is mostly unseen.

Good movie. Without giving anything away this is a good horror/thriller film. The acting is top notch and the story is a bit unsettling.

I believe this film was marketed incorrectly. So keep expectations in check. If you go in with an open mind, you may be pleasantly surprised!

I recommend watching, but keep in mind that the storytelling used is not traditional and does not arch like most hollywood films.

Don't buy this if you're expecting a scary movie. If you want a film with a great story, intense atmosphere, and engaging drama, this is it.

This film is about a plague that has spread over the world. It is exciting but the title is misleading as nothing really comes at night.
