This is truly an innovative trash can if you can believe it. Traps smells well and the motion sensor allows the receptacle to not be slid and jostled every time I use a foot pedal. Only wish is that the sensor could detect hand motion higher above the lid to avoid hand interference when it flips open. You get used to it though.

The hands free touchless trash can works as advertised. This is most noticeable when our hands are full and we are able to open the lid by moving our hands over the top.

I've purchased two of these and would not buy again. It's great when it works but longevity is the issue. It looks nice and I like that the garbage bags stay in place because of the ring that is provided. It's also easy to clean. This can use D batteries and does not come with the powercord. The charcoal filters are another additional expense but i just buy cheap ones at dollar stores and throw them in the bottom. But this lid is a problem. Both of mine have stopped working. One, you put your hand in front and it turns green but does not move. The other opens but only about an inch and then you have to manually open it. I've tried all of their troubleshooting tricks and neither work so I would not recommend this one. Instead, I've had better luck (so far) with the Insignia one.

We purchase 13 gallon bags and they fit perfect in this. The lid opens fast enough. Only a short delay. You can get a AC adapter if you don't want to rely on batteries. I didn't realize there is an activated charcoal filter that absorbs odors inside. There's a button that will hold the door open for you. It looks great with our stainless steel appliances.

I gave this as a birthday gift to a friend and he really likes it. He didnt have a lid on his kitchen garbage can because he didnt want to touch it while cooking. I bought him this one and it opens with a wave of the hand. Problem solved. And its very handsome.

I purchased this item for my mom almost a year ago and I think it’s a great addition to her stainless steel kitchen. I love the fact that it’s touch less, I enjoy showing everyone how to operate it!

I wanted this type of trash can for a long time because nobody have to touch it besides taking out the trash bag and putting a née one in. This one traps odors however I don’t put anything in it besides light trash.

Works great, especially when your hands are messy. You don't have to touch the lid. No problems with the lid opening and closing.

I have two of these, one for garbage and one for recycling and they work great!
