My family watches It's a Wonderful Life every Christmas Eve. We've always watched it on Network TV, but this year I decided to buy the Bluray. It came with the original black and white on one disk and on a second disk, a colorized version. I have traditionally shunned colorized movies, but I decided in this case to give it a try. It looked terrific. It's been a long time before I have watched a colorized film, so maybe they have now perfected the process.

I adore this movie. I have loved it since I was a kid watching is dozens of times each Christmas season, and now to see it in perfect 4K HDR is simply stunning. If you think a movie can’t look better in 4K this is the movie to prove it to you. The clarity and range of shadows makes things you never saw pop. It’s literally like seeing the movie for the first tie no matter how many times you’ve seen it in the past.

A very well made film with James Stewart, I always make this one of my must-see films for the holidays every year, my whole family enjoys this movie as well. The whole story brings about the point of life in such a complex world that we live in. I am used to seeing this in the B&W version, but this BD edition comes with a colorized disc version too, which "livens" up the viewing pleasure of this great film.

I love this item I remember watching it on tv as a kid and now i can watch it as much as i want. ( preferably Christmas) i have nothing i dislike about it.

I haven’t been able to find this movie anywhere. I was so excited to see that Beat Buy carried it! It was the perfect Christmas gift for my brother!

Such a classic movie. Ive loved this movie for so many years, and seeing itin 4K-- Wow! The extras are awesome. This is definitely worth the view.

This is a great Classic film that always brings a smile to the family as we watch it. It's a good one to watch to get your head out all the crap going on these days and bringing to the forefront that which most meaningful in our lives. Never looked better than it does in 4K. A must have for anyone who appreciates the finer films from the Golden Age of Film

WOW both color and b/w, unexpected and AWESOME quality! We debated about watching it colorized, you know...that purist perspective says NO to that. But we watched the new colorization and it was an amazing experience in 4k upscaling to see the fabrics, textures, real colors of the past and every pore on their face. It helps take you back in time!

I got a little confused when I saw Samuel Jackson getting mad about snakes being in his plane, but who wouldn’t be upset in that situation?

4K HEVC HDR10 Dolby Vision with Dolby True HD 2.0 soundtrack. Prepare for a visually stunning picture that is wonderfully remastered with Dolby Vision. The artistry of Black & White film is shades of gray (grey). There are 2-point, 10-point, and 21-point grayscale calibrations meant to align Red, Blue, and Green to a color gamut standard: Rec. 709 and BT 2020. Rec. 709 is SDR version whilst BT 2020 is HDR. HDR, known as High Dynamic Range, brings screens to life and make scenes appear more realistic to our eyes. Back in the day, film was shot in black & white and projected onto a silver screen. As technology progressed, the screen changed to white and the film was projected in color. Digital has been working feverishly to catch up to film images and we are now as close as ever. Thanks to HDR, color looks amazing as do old black & white films. I admit that I was not expecting much from 2.0 audio, but it actually sounds full in Dolby True HD. Personally, I’m fine with a multi-channel sound mix even if it were not part of the original work. Being that audio is selectable, immersive fanatics like myself would be thrilled and purists could still have their “as the artist intended” version. Enjoy this Christmas classic in stunning HDR Dolby Vision as well as the colorized version on Blu-Ray 1080P. The quality of this product has me looking forward to the Casablanca remaster.

This version of It's a Wonderful Life in 4k is very sharp and is way better than it looked 20+ years ago on VHS.

Great product, no issues. Would definitely purchase 4k movies again from Best Buy, if you could....

This is one of the best Christmas movies of all time!

My parents love this movie and this one has both the black and white version as well as the colored.

This 4k transfer has excellent picture quality and the black and white cinematography looks great!

Love Jimmy Stewart and this is by far the best Christmas movie ever made even though it does not have a Christmas theme. The reason is it helps one to reflect upon how precious life is and how each one can have a great impact upon others. It shows how blessed it is to give rather than to receive.

The 4K image on this title is jaw dropping! So natural and clear without artificial enhancement. Sound is lossless and very clear. There are a few new entertaining extras, most interesting is the restoration process. But Paramount included only the colorized version on Blu-ray!

This is simply one of the best movies ever made! The story is terrific and the cast is amazing! Jimmy Stewart of course is the star but the supporting cast are also awesome. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who has not seen it..is that possible there are people who have not seen it?

Frank Capra's masterpiece in beautiful hd, what more can you ask.
