This is simply one of the best movies ever made! The story is terrific and the cast is amazing! Jimmy Stewart of course is the star but the supporting cast are also awesome. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who has not seen it..is that possible there are people who have not seen it?

The 4K image on this title is jaw dropping! So natural and clear without artificial enhancement. Sound is lossless and very clear. There are a few new entertaining extras, most interesting is the restoration process. But Paramount included only the colorized version on Blu-ray!

My parents love this movie and this one has both the black and white version as well as the colored.

Please do yourself a favor and watch the movie the way the director chose to film it, in black & white. Color was available. Frank Capra wanted the various shades of grey as much of it was as if in a dream. Magnificent acting too. Jimmy Stewart deserved an Oscar.

This is one of the best Christmas movies of all time!

Christmas time is all about family, friends, and the joy of doing something for others. This movie captures all of this which makes it a classic. Jimmy Stewart is awesome as George Bailey, a down on his luck dreamer who finds out he is the luckiest man of all. You will enjoy!

If you have not seen this movie you are lucky, because you get to see it for the very first time. I saw it on TV ages ago, bought the Laser Disc decades ago, bought the DVD years ago, got the Blu-ray 3 years ago and now the 4K. This movie was released 1946 and the picture on the 4K disc is outstanding. Black blacks, White whites and all the gray tones in between. Crystal clear dialogue.

One of greatest movies of all time. Watch every Christmas. Can say enough great things about it

This is by far my most favorite Christmas movie. It is a must watch each year. And, each year, I tear up. This restoration is incredible. The details, the contrast are amazing. It is, along with Wizard of Oz, a MUST OWN for movie buffs with a 4K setup.

Frank Capra's masterpiece in beautiful hd, what more can you ask.

Very good movie with a good 4k transfer don't like that blu ray is in color tho

So much has been said extolling what some consider Director Frank Capra's best movie, that I will try to make some valid points. First, the film had a modest opening at the end of 1946, not really making a splash at the box office. For years, the only showings were (I assume) at film festivals and prior to video and DVD/laserdisc releases, late at night during Christmas season on commercial TV. The movie was uncut, but you had to sit through ads for everything under the sun to see Jimmy Stewart grow up, live, love, save his town and emerge a hero. I believe one of the reasons the film didn't find an audience originally was that it was not really a Christmas movie, and had a dark underbelly during the scenes of the town's alternative life without George Bailey. People may not have been ready for a movie that wasn't all feel good or melodrama. Fast forward to the early 1980s. Cable TV and videos make the movie available to a wider public. The picture become much- watched and loved. This special two-disc version has the original black-and-white version in blu-ray, and a colorized version. In either case, enjoy a splendid cast that includes Thomas Mitchell, Beulah Bondi, Ward Bond, Gloria Grahame, Sheldon Leonard, and even Ellen Corby in a small role. Trivia note: Look for Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer as the boy who opens up the swimming pool after George steals Mary away from him. There's also Charles Lane, who was a supporting character in literally hundreds of movies and TV shows. He shows up in every Capra movie and was most prominent as a semi-regular in one of the later Lucy revivals and as Homer Bedloe on Petticoat Junction. Buy it, stream it, or watch it on television, but catch "It's a Wonderful Life" to see Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed in roles that should have won them Oscars.

Watched the Colorized version for the first time a found it to better than most colorized movies I have seen. Still prefer the B/W version but either version is great! The extras are nice and having the movie on Blu-ray is nice.

Every time I watch this film, it connects in a different way. Great story.

Classic black and white movie. You can not going wrong with this film.

Every year, It's a Wonderful Life comes on TV at Christmas, and I'm tired of searching for it, and dealing with all the commercials. I bit the bullet and finally bought my own copy of this classic Christmas movie. A must watch every year.

Okay, I know what you're probably thinking: "I've seen this cheesy movie a zillion times for free on television; why should I pay for it when it's on TV every year at no cost?" I'll offer several reasons… First, as of the current year, no stations are airing this film in 4K, and YES, it makes a difference. Second, the special features are truly fascinating. I had no idea what went into making this movie until this year, and I have a whole new appreciation for the incredible filmmaking than I ever have before. Third, even for people who (like me) typically don't care for colorized movies, I've never seen a colorization done this well, with this much care. (It looks really, really good.) You get that version as well with this purchase. And finally, who can say no to a steelbook? Right? :-)

This movie brings love,joy and compassion to the screen that no other movie can at Christmas. If you want to watch a GREAT Religious movie,watch the Nativity Story. These two movies will put you in the Christmas Spirit.
