It is a great movie. I like it so much and will watch it again.

DiCaprio great as always!!! Advice --- purchase from Walmart instead. Best Buy advertises they have movies in-stock READY TO SHIP but actually their inventory is limited. They actually allow you to purchase movies that are BACKORDERED and keep giving you false ship dates. Save yourself a lot of trouble and just purchase them from Walmart that way you can actually be watching the movie instead of waiting on it. Again movie rates an A+ but Best Buy rates an F- (lower if there is such). AFTER READING THE REVIEW GUIDLELINES I AM PRETTY SURE THIS REVIEW WON'T GET POSTED. THAT'S OK --- IF BEST BUY KEEPS STICKING IT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS THERE WON'T BE ANY NEED FOR REVIEWS!!!

I want to start off by saying Leo rarely and I mean rarely makes a bad movie. if you look at his list of work. you really can't find a bad film he's done. with that said, this movie probably had to be one of his worse but still holds up and good for most other actors. the fact it was directed by Clint as well is shocking that it didn't get better praise but I guess you can't hit homeruns all the time.

Great movie about j Edgar Hoover I learned a lot about him I didn’t know and Leonardo DiCaprio is a great actor

This is an extraordinarily well done film by Mr. Eastwood and the actors involved. Leaves the inquisitive mind with room to debate and discuss the possibilities of such an account.

Two disc Blu-ray has worthy extras about Eastwood-DiCaprio collaboration in bringing J. Edgar's life and times. The man's carefully held up pristine public image versus a guarded private, even secretive side. Revealing and tense biographical drama, Clint Eastwood always takes up challenging, true projects and DiCaprio is very compelling as J. Edgar.

This was a great movie that tells a great story about a very important person in US history. The acting and the cast were great. It was a little lengthy for my taste and a little confusing how the story jumped back to the beginning from time to time. But overall a very good movie and suggest it to anyone who likes historic films.

It is said that casting is everything and Eastwood, the Director, really got it right. The clothing, automobiles and social customs of about the 70 year period of the films story were very closely replicated, materially added to the story-telling and a fuller understanding of the saga by the audience. Filmed in color but most scenes were very dark which I am sure was the Directors desire to more effectively tell the story which was shrouded in mystery.

I bought it thinking I would learn a thing or two, but ended up falling asleep halfway through. Probably just my attention span.

Could have been more evoking. I think they chose the wrong director. But still good. Just not as good as I hoped it would be.

I'm not sure how historically factually it is but it is a good movie regardless.

I watch this movie quite often and still wonder why Leonardo DeCaprio does not get more awards for his craft of acting. Did you know Hoover was of African descent? His grandfather on his fathers side was "coloured" according to the census. But has since been altered. Check it out on fantompowa dot net.

One of Leo's best movies, based on a true story. Definitely check it out!

A good movie worth watching. The acting was very good.
