Install the drivers, I encourage downloading the current drivers from their website, and plug it in and it works. I was concerned about rebooting and it not working, but after a few weeks, it just works.

I have around 20 of these, call work great. Sometimes you will have issues with chrome not displaying anything or going all black, you need to disable GPU Render in the hidden chrome settings

Since Mac books do not have a VGA connection this is a great device for adding a monitor. The only downside it only lets you mirror verses extend your monitor when I added an a/b switch

This works great. I have a laptop with one HDMI out and two external monitors. I plugged one in the HDMI and the other using this device and you can't tell the difference, worth every penny...

Works perfect to add a second monitor to my laptop. Tried the insignia version and it kept failing when it warmed up. This one is rock solid. Spend the extra bucks for better quality.

So you buy this and you wonder... will it actually work. Well, on the fly I followed the download software instructions, and it was plug-and-play after that.

This thing works well however you it is not "plug and play." You must download the software so beware if you don't have admin rights on your machine or if you use an older surface.

at first I thought it was the monitor but then I purchased another VGA adapter and screen was super clear. This product was not very good on a PC device, haven't tried on a MAC system.

This was suggested by a Best Buy employee when I asked how I could run two monitors side by side from a laptop that only had one VGA port and no HDMI. Works awesome !!! Thanks

The sales rep at the store told me I needed this adapter. It turns out I didn't becasue all the necessary cables came in the box with the monitor. Cheeck this out prior to purchasing this adapterr.

I used this device for a Win XP and a Win 8 machine and in both instances it connects quickly and without issue, perfect for what I needed.

We recently purchased a Chromebook to use when out making presentations. We needed an adapter to connect our new laptop to an older projector. We tried the adapter with three different laptops but could not get it to work. This adapter might work well for other purposes but I can't give it a higher rating since we could not get it to work for us. When I returned it to the store the salesperson I spoke to then suggested that it most likely was because our projector was an older model that doesn't support newer technology.

I do AV work, and use various computers from simple to complex video integration. Got this to use as an external vga out for systems that only have VGA available. Does the job

It connected to my monitor's 15 pin cable and attached to the computer's USB port. I have had it for a month and it has worked perfectly. The picture on the monitor is great.

I have purchased a few other adapters and they seem to work for a short time. This one is still working good after a few months.

Couldn't do what I needed because the screen on laptop I was trying to hook up to the monitor was broken so I couldn't get the drivers to load to be able to use it.

Works well but takes a download or CD loaded driver to work so plan for that. Bought on the way to a meeting and didn't know this until I tried to use it.

This worked great and was very easy to use. Much easier than opening the box and adding another video card. It extended the two monitors into one large screen.

This item works great, especially if you don't have a USB 3.0 port. I would highly recommend this product if you need an extra monitor and have no available ports.

Remains to be seen but so far, so good. It is a pretty straight forward piece of equipment. The cable is kind of short so it can only be used hanging off the equipment
