I was not successful in making this work for me, so I returned it, Good Luck! (I believe it was due to the abilities of my surface not the product, five screens was to much for the surface)

This VGA display is fine if you don't mind downloading software with a CD drive. I was lookin for a device that would allow 2 HDMI monitors.

I purchased this so I can use my Mac on multiple screens. Once I installed the drivers and connected it, my camera wouldn't work on my Mac. Caused a lot of other issues. Must be a conflict.

I don't blame the device but the function I was told would occur with this item did not occur. It probably functions fine for what it's made for but not for what I was told it would do.

my new HP Envy doesn't have a port for my current monitor so I was advised to buy this. I couldn't get the monitor to work with the Envy so I just bought a new monitor.

so i wanted to get a 2nd monitor. bought this thing and started having all kinds of problems. thought it was everything else until i confirmed it was this thing. get the insignia version its perfect and 20 less. something to do with the internals or maybe a software related issue. i could have had a defective unit but unless you love the color silver i see no reason not to save 20 dollars!

If you don't you have to roll your system back because Windows will download stock drivers for it that just don't work.

Windows and backgrounds don't always completely refresh. Maybe it's not capable of keeping up with maximum resolution screens.

a bit tricky to install, directions could be more straightforward, but eventually performed as promised

I have not tried it out yet. I intend to use it as an usb adapter for a pc game control pad. So I don't recommend it because I haven't tried it out that way. The device is meant to be used to add an vga monitor of some kind to your computer and comes nicely wrapped with software to help it do that. I am intending to use it as an adapter the other direction and have not tried it that way.

It's good product so far for the price I had the product for 2 months and I like it

It is okey if you are looking to connect your laptop that doesn't have s232 to the old projectors.

I tried first this product but I experienced a lot of slowness and blinking screens. I was planning to use it in my laptop work increasing to 3 screens, 2 monitor, + the laptop's monitor. I didn't like the first experience, and the blinking was annoying. It was also slow and sometimes was getting freeze. I decided to return it and get another product.

Produces extended desktop but does not show as screen 2 in monitor setup with Win 7.

I had an older dell laptop operating on Windows 7. I have a laptop base and run 2 monitors off the base with the laptop closed ( I don't use the laptop screen). I bought this for 3rd screen. I originally purchased a cheaper version of the product off Amazon, it worked, but the picture was very bad. Purchased this and did the recommended download from the web site. Everything was successful in the download. A restart is required after software download. My computer never worked again. System restart after restart it was dead. IT looked at the screen and said everything was gone. Maybe it was the older computer running in windows 7. I have a new work computer and scared to download again. I will update this post and give an extra star or two if it works when I take the scary step and download again!

Was needing an inexpensive 2nd monitor and did not realize it was a wide screen until I got it home and my current screen is a not a wide screen. Had to return it because it did not look right next to my tall screen. I did hook it up but could not get the color clarity adjusted - words on the screen were too light.

This is not the item I need we were given bad advice by sales associate.

It was ok, but the image on the attached monitor was not clear or crisp.

I would definitely refer this cable to a friend or neighbor.
