Manufacturers of laptops are reducing the number of ports to keep prices down and to reduce the profile. The JUH340 is a great little hub that will give you the USB-A ports you need to connect your peripherals.

I was trying to find one that had at least one port pointed straight up towards the ceiling, that way you can plug in a USB connection using only one hand. I was not able to find any USB 3.0 Hubs that have that have the form I just described, for a reasonable price (yet). When I saw this USB 3.0 hub on sale, I decided to give it a try. I have been very happy with it. It also has a fast charging USB port built in; for charging rechargeable USB devices like iPod's, iPhone's, etc... Watch for sales...Works.great...great price ...
